Read the contents on safety and infection control and make a chart:
Airborne Precautions: measles (Rubeola), TB, Varicella, Chixpox, Disseminated Zoster (shingles
Keep door closed*Placed mask on patient when transported
Droplet precautions:
Streptococcus pharyngitis, pneumonia
Meningitis caused by H.influenza Type B mumps
Place mask on patient if being transported
Contact Precautions:
Clean, non sterile gloves
MRSA, scabies, pediculosis, Cdiff
Be sure to know the sequence of putting on and removing PPE. Also, if you know what needs airborne precautions and what needs contact, then the rest fall under droplet. A little bit of memorization, whether it be writing and re-writing lists, or making flashcards, will go a long way. The test generally has infection control questions on it. I had atleast 5, which made me glad i studied that concept hard!
