White/White Asic Tigres or White/White Nike Air Force 1's. Of course I am a guy........

I found some white slip on merrells that are awesome. Good arch support and they clean up easy. I found them on zappos.com.

shoes really depend on what shape foot you have....Merrells are great shoes but they do not do well on my feet...I prefer New Balance but my very favorite are Birkenstocks...they make a great nursing shoe

I am partial to Dansko Professional CLogs. You can go to a store that sells them and try them out. Then go online and by them at Dansko Outlet.com for about half of retail. Technically they are seconds, but that may mean a scuff, which you could get day one wearing them, or some off stitching, etc. I've worn nothing else since 2003 and been in nursing since 1973. Wore the obligatory nurse shoe for school and several years after, tried alot of tennis shoes, and several kinds of clogs(OR Nurse), and Dankos are the greatest. They need to be broken in slowly, but once they are nothing compares. They support your feet, make you walk correctly, no more sore feet, legs, or back after a LONG 12 hour plus shift.

Before you spend any money on shoes, make sure you fully understand the requirements of your school's dress code. They are usually quite specific about what is and isn't allowed, and not complying precisely with the dress code can create signficant problems for you.

I agree - definitely consider your school dress code. Comfort is important, too. I personally found that the Landau Comfort is great for me. It has enough support and my feet aren't as tired from a long day on the floor.

Depends on what your school requires, what type of shoes you can wear and how much you want to spend.

I have a wide foot and bought a Saucony on zappos.com in a wide. They are ok but very hot and heavy. I wish I had spent just $20 more and bought Alegrias. They have a "rocking" sole but are not bulky like MBTs. They make a nursing specific shoe too. I think they are WAY more comfy than Danskos.

Zappos.com is a great source for shoes but you will have to good Alegria to find those.

Good luck!

Get the Danskos!!!! They are very comfortable (after a short break in period) and you will wear them forever!!!
