Kennesaw State University Spring 2020

Published

Hey guys, I recently just applied to the program for Spring of 2020. I would just like to share my stats with you guys hoping that you guys would do the same.

3.72 Overall GPA

4.0 GPA for 5/7 Science & Math Courses

4.0 GPA for 7/12 Pre-Reqs

80 TEAS Score

84.4/90 Competitive Score

I am a bit insecure about my TEAS score because it’s relatively a low score. What do you guys think about my chances of getting in? I am also a Minority Male and my counselor said that I have a competitive advantage above the majority of applications but I’m still a bit on edge haha. Also done with all my 12 pre-reqs after Fall 2019. What are you guys stats? I hope the best for you all and hopefully we will see each other in orientation this fall! Good Luck to everyone applying!

Has anyone heard anything other than that we will hear in October?

Nope! I decided to email actual nursing admissions, rather than just advising because I have a friend who was told by an advisor that they don't actually know when the decisions are going to be released, and this is what they said. And I asked specifically if they could give me a date (so that I wouldn't get a vague answered) and that apparently didn't work.

That sucks sorry that they replied like that another school I applied to did the same thing it's like that don't understand how important this is to us but what can we do but wait

I had a general major advising appointment recently and the advisor told me that they will hopefully have the decisions out by mid-October but I feel like I can't trust that information ? I'm not getting my hopes up.

I know how anxious and ready everyone is for these decisions (trust me, I am too), but we also have to keep in mind that the people making the decisions have other things to do as well. This isn’t their only job; I imagine most of them also have to the teach the current students too as well as have meetings and conferences and the likes. Not to mention they have to go through and discuss hundreds upon hundreds of applications before weeding it down to, what, like 80-100 people maybe?

I want nothing more than to be accepted in, but I also have to think that there are humans with lives and jobs out there doing this so we have to take into account the work load they have to deal with on top of this decision. Just a thought to keep in mind when your sending out those emails that might be hindering them.

Update: As of yesterday, I heard that they will not be releasing any decision letters/emails until October 15th. Apparently, they lost a key admin & they had to hire and train someone to fill this role. Hence, they are very delayed (last year decisions went out on 9-12.) We will all know in a few more weeks! Good luck!
