Kennesaw State University BSN Fall 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey you guys! I didn't see a thread for those applying to KSU for the Fall 2017 BSN Cohort, so I decided to make one. The deadline for applications is getting ready to come up and then decisions will hopefully be made shortly after, so I figured we could all be nervous and wait together :). On the other threads, people share their stats so I'll post mine below!

Overall GPA: 3.92

Best 5/7 Math & Science Grades: All A's

Best 7/12 Total Prerequisite Grade: All A's

TEAS Score: 92

Looking forward to interacting with you guys and distracting myself from classwork

Thanks for the tip! I'll make sure to get my hands on one. At UCSD they had a system where people could pay for lecture notes for classes. It was run by the university, and I totally think the nursing school should do something like that í ¾í´£

Dr Davis is really against the patho bible because there are a few mistakes and blah blah, but it is a direct transcript of his lectures so that information is invaluable. Kinda wish they wouldn't let people take patho before they got into the program unless they would 100% accept them if they got an A in it. Now I have to hope that a school I go to takes my patho credit í ½í¹„

Not accepted! Congrats to all who got in and best wishes for classes this Fall!!!

GUYS! I just got accepted into accelerated track with a 3.3 gpa and an 80 teas score! There is always hope. I am so excited

Not this year it seems. Best of luck everyone.

Have you emailed them in the past or made an appointment to go over your stats to see where it is that you may be lacking or what you could do to improve? I'm really surprised you've been denied considering your impressive stats.

Hey you guys I have been following this forum for a while now. I just got the email and it says I am on standby acceptance. Does in anybody have any clue what this means? At first I thought it meant I am being wait listed but then it says my accpatnce conditions are maintain 2.7 gpa, and finish my last 2 prerequisites before August 9. 2017. It is confusing. If anyone got waitlisted is this what their email says? Or does it say something else? I am freaking out!!! I called and no one answered so I emailed them but I figured maybe someone on here will know. Congrats to everyone who got in and anyone who didn't keep trying we can do this. I havent posted my stats yet so I will go ahead and post them now for anyone who is curious.

GPA overall: 3.97

GPA science: 9.97

TEAS Score: 89.3

Thanks Guys!

Elizabeth, my email stated "conditionally accepted" and an acceptance contract was attached that I need to return to the nursing school by April. If you did not receive such a contract, then I would assume standby means waitlisted. But you still have to finish your prereqs and maintain that gpa in order for you to be able to accept a seat if one becomes available.

Congrats! I applied too with 3.58 GPA and 84 TEAS score, but didn't get accepted. I wish they were more transparent about their criteria. Best of luck to you!

I have but I think I'll go again soon. I have my last chemistry to take so I do have the opportunity to bump my stats some more. I'll also have to retake the TEAS.

Totally stoked for you! You're going to make an incredible, burrito eating nurse;D

I'm sorry! that sucks :( did you apply to traditional or accelerated? also my gpa for the past 3 years has been stellar. I just screwed up my first year of college.

Hmm that may play a part then! I think it's probably best to apply with as many prereqs done as possible (if the chemistry you have to take is one of the prereqs). If you want any help studying for the TEAS over the summer you can always reach out! Good luck and keep plugging away. I will definitely try to find a good spot near Kennesaw so I can feed my cravings when I'm on campus!!!
