Kennesaw State University BSN Fall 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey you guys! I didn't see a thread for those applying to KSU for the Fall 2017 BSN Cohort, so I decided to make one. The deadline for applications is getting ready to come up and then decisions will hopefully be made shortly after, so I figured we could all be nervous and wait together :). On the other threads, people share their stats so I'll post mine below!

Overall GPA: 3.92

Best 5/7 Math & Science Grades: All A's

Best 7/12 Total Prerequisite Grade: All A's

TEAS Score: 92

Looking forward to interacting with you guys and distracting myself from classwork

I just found this out too! I don't know if I should stay where I am or go to KSU...Hopefully someone who is in the program can give us some advice!!

What are your biggest factors/considerations?

Okay, so I need help. I really want to apply to KSU and I am graduating from UGA a year early. I am worried about admissions but my main concern right now is all of KSU's general core requirements. Did y'all finish all of them and not finish pre-reqs for the actually application. I am very confused on which one to priortize from. I really want to do the ABSN

Hello, does anyone knows if it is required to complete the general courses(e.g American Govrnment) or just these 12 listed on their website beforeapplying..And, does the grneral corses play a role in acceptance?

MATH 1101 or MATH 1111 (or higher)-Math Modeling or College Algebra

STAT 1107 (formerly MATH 1107)-Statistics

CHEM 1151/1151L and CHEM 1152/1152L*

(or CHEM 1211/1211L, CHEM 1212/1212L sequence)*

BIOL 2221 and BIOL 2221L-Anatomy and Physiology I & Lab*

BIOL 2222 and BIOL 2222L-Anatomy and Physiology II & Lab*

BIOL 2261 and BIOL 2261L-Microbiology & Lab*

ENGL 1101-Composition I

ENGL 1102-Composition II

PSYC 1101-General Psychology

PSYC 3305-Life-Span Developmental Psychology

SOCI 1101-Introduction to Sociology

Only those 12. General courses do play a role, as they look at your overall GPA and that includes all classes you have taken.

If y'all are going to kennesaw, make sure you have someone send you the Patho bible. It'll help you immensley through that class. Probably the only reason I got an A

@caitlinw can you share the patho bible with me?

@caitlinw Is there anyway you could send me the patho bible? I start in the Fall!??

No worries. The patho bible won’t be of any use to students anymore because the professor it was associated with retired last fall. It was great because he was old school and did not use power points; however, the instructors that teach the class now have fantastic power points. (I’ve had them in other classes.) Good luck to you! It goes by so fast, and I promise pathophysiology isn’t as scary as some make it out to be.

Thank you for this information! I am excited to start my journey!

Sure! If you have anymore questions...please reach out.

@a1m33buell good to know! Thank you ?

I actually had one of the professors for both my A&P classes and LOVED her so I’m excited to have her again.
