Hey you guys! I didn't see a thread for those applying to KSU for the Fall 2017 BSN Cohort, so I decided to make one. The deadline for applications is getting ready to come up and then decisions will hopefully be made shortly after, so I figured we could all be nervous and wait together :). On the other threads, people share their stats so I'll post mine below!
Overall GPA: 3.92
Best 5/7 Math & Science Grades: All A's
Best 7/12 Total Prerequisite Grade: All A's
TEAS Score: 92
Looking forward to interacting with you guys and distracting myself from classwork
I also took it after my first semester. Better to just get it out of the way. Yeah, dates when things were signed and dates when battles began and ended, stuff like that. I recommend Quizlet! I think I didn't ace it because I didn't really memorize anything, just kind of scanned things. So try to memorize important dates if you can! I did okay on the US one, only because I had taken a US history class recently. The Georgia one was harder IMO.
Hello there! I'm hoping to apply for the nursing program in the near future. I was wondering if you could explain to me how the 5/7 and 7/12 GPA worked? If i have all 7 classes completed for the 5/7 GPA do they take the top 5 grades into account for that GPA? Or do they consider all 7 grades for that GPA? I'm wondering the same for the 7/12 GPA. Thanks for any help you might be able to give, and good luck to you guys!!
Hello! So nice to join this group. I am curious about the nursing school schedule as well. Also, does anyone have any ideas about the books for our first semester? I emailed Admissions and they do not have the information
Congrats on getting into the KSU program, guys. I look forward to meeting everyone!!
Hey,I am upcoming sophomore. I am wondering if it matters that I will be taking chem at my local community college? I dropped chem this semester(I was taking it at UGA and I had C). Will I look good that I tried again this summer or will it be frowned upon?
No you should be fine because they will take the highest grade anyway. However, there was a girl I took patho with at ksu who took all her pre reqs at a community college and did miserably in that class because the pre preqs didn't go in depth as much as what was needed to do well in patho. I'm pretty sure she dropped out of ksus nursing program after that.

Sigh, I was hoping this was not the case, but I am prepared to buy the materials I need to be prepared. I plan on prepping for it once this semester is over. When you say they asked for exact dates, do you mean common dates (e.g. dates of battles, wars, treaty signings, etc.) or like random dates that are rarely mentioned?
