Kennesaw State University BSN Fall 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey you guys! I didn't see a thread for those applying to KSU for the Fall 2017 BSN Cohort, so I decided to make one. The deadline for applications is getting ready to come up and then decisions will hopefully be made shortly after, so I figured we could all be nervous and wait together :). On the other threads, people share their stats so I'll post mine below!

Overall GPA: 3.92

Best 5/7 Math & Science Grades: All A's

Best 7/12 Total Prerequisite Grade: All A's

TEAS Score: 92

Looking forward to interacting with you guys and distracting myself from classwork

Ok thanks for the info. I did get an attached contract that I need to turn in by April 14. It is in that contract that it tells me the conditions of my acceptance which are the 2.7 GPA, good standing with KSU, and finish my prereqs. I think you are right though. I am pretty sure it means wait listed. I wish there was a little more information regarding exactly what it means. Have you finshed all 12 of the prereqs?

I have not. I'm taking sociology over the summer (though I have already taken other sociology courses just not 101). But I finished my bachelors in 2015 and am now in a masters program. So maybe they're really sure I am good for the prereq haha

Do you guys know if we can take patho somewhere else during the summer? or do we have to take it during the first semester? I feel that it would be much less stressful taking it during the summer.

I got in!!!!!

I got in!!!!!

Accelerated or traditional??

I'm in for the accelerated program. Can't wait to meet everyone!

I'm decent at self-teaching so my plan is to buy the path book ahead of time so I can review it over the summer! Fall semester seems jam packed!

has anyone taken patho before or is anyone taking it in the summer

Accelerated or traditional??

traditional!

Hi everyone. I got into the traditional BSN program for this fall. So this was my second time applying, and my GPA is subpar (mainly from 10+ yrs ago). But I kept going, retook some classes I received C's in, finished all pre-req's, and retook the TEAS. I'm a returning student after 10+ yrs in the workforce. I was accepted into the GSU ADN program last year, but I wanted to wait one more semester to get into the BSN program. Hoping I can encourage anyone still waiting to get into the KSU program. It's an amazing school for sure. Both campus and programs. Don't give up! Keep trying, keep praying. It will happen in God's timing for sure.

GPA: 2.9

Science/math GPA: 3.6

7 pre-req GPA: 3.85

TEAS: 94.7% (previous score was 86.7%)

PS. I'm taking pathophysiology right now, and I've been able to maintain As in all my exams so far. I was told that the class avg was 75% after the first exam, which shows the difficulty of the course. If you're taking Patho next semester, I encourage you to review your A&P physiology and thoroughly understand the normal functions of a healthy body. Patho studies the "abnormality" of bodily functions, so you need to know what's normal to apply the abnormals.

Is anyone who was accepted looking for a roommate?

I have also been accepted into the traditional program. Congratulations to those who have been accepted. I am looking forward to meeting you!! To those who have not, this is not the end of the road for you at all!
