I have but I think I'll go again soon. I have my last chemistry to take so I do have the opportunity to bump my stats some more. I'll also have to retake the TEAS. Totally stoked for you! You're going to make an incredible, burrito eating nurse;D

Here's a viable option- check out the National Health Service website. They just opened up the scholarship application window for this year. In short, they will pay for your schooling but you commit to giving them 2 years of (paid) service, working in an underserved city. My Mom won this scholarship when she went for her CNM and we moved from OH where she completed her degree to San Diego county where she is a provider still. You may have to dig through the website a bit but they also have this scholarship for BSN.

That's what I was told just last week as well.

Just confirming that late March is when we should hear decisions. I emailed back and forth this afternoon with the person responsible for going through the applications.

Hello, Applying for Fall 2017 Overall GPA 3.59 Math & Sciences 4 A's, 1 B 7/12 All A's TEAS 87.3 I saw this on another thread but I'm not sure if it really means anything. "I hope for our sake that the applicant pool is not too large. It's hard to tell this year. I've figured up my competitive score out of 90. I hope it will be enough. I could probably take the TEAS V again if I don't get a seat for Fall. It would be awful to not get in because of one test. (To calculate : Total GPA- 20 points (multiply your GPA by 20 then divide by 4) Top 5/7 - 30 points (math and science GPA only, multiplied by 30 then divide by 4) Top 7/12-20 points (same as total GPA calculation) TEAS 20 points - multiply by 20 then divide by 100 This gives you your competitive score"

I applied for Fall 2016 and didn't get in(sad face!!). I've worked on a few things and now my stats are as follows. Overall GPA: 3.57 5/7: 3.7 7/12: 4.0 TEAS: 87.3 Competitive Score: 83.06 I'm following this thread although I am not applying for Spring 2017. I still have both CHEMs to take so perhaps I can get these scores up some. When I saw an advisor earlier this year, she really seemed to be focused on the letter grades and didn't even mention this competitive score idea. Hoping to apply for Fall 2017. Denied! I thought that would be the case so I am already retaking some of those B classes! Still stings though! Congrats to those who got in this time!!!! Go get em!!
