Hey everyone,
I haven't seen a thread for those of us applying to KSU'S ABSN (or even traditional) program and thought I would start one. I am taking the TEAS pretty late (early January) and will have most of my pre-reqs done by December, but I'm pretty nervous. I have around a 3.5 from my bachelors degree at UGA and will probably end up with around the same in pre-reqs. It seems pretty competitive so not sure of my chances! Hope I can blow the TEAS out of the water. :)
If I did my researching correctly on here, applicants were hearing pretty late last year, like late April and May. I hope they can end the suspense a little earlier this year!
Anyone else applying?
Good luck everyone!! I am actually kind of upset about the interview process being phased out. My advisor confirmed it for me a few weeks ago... now it is strictly paper based! That stresses me out even more, because I really wanted to stand out in the interview. I am technically going for the traditional BSN for Fall 2014, but I wanted to chime in to ask a few questions.
What are some of the lowest TEAS scores you have heard getting admitted. I took my TEAS for the first time today with not much studying and got an 81.3%
I plan on taking it again Jan 24th as well... I am hoping to get at least an 86%
Hi Elliot! :)
My GPA before Fall's grades are posted is a 3.48. So maybe after this semester posts my GPA will be at least the 3.5ish range. I think the best part of my application is my science GPA; it's a 4.0. I only have Micro and A&P2 left, and I will finish those this Spring. (hopefully with A's)
I know I need a higher score for sure I have heard of 81's getting admitted, but they are so few and far between... I think I will have more luck at Mercer.
Awesome TEAS score by the way!! So happy for you!
Thanks. I studied intently for about a month. :) you would have no problem getting into Mercer. They accept about 25% of the people that apply. You have great grades and an 81 is not bad at all. You may as well apply to both and see what happens!
Are they making you guys write an essay or anything since there's no interview?
I have no idea if we find out sooner, but I would imagine so! If it is just based off of what you look like on paper, they could probably put all of our info into some generators or something. As much as I would like to think they look through all applications personally... I have a feeling computers help them with their picks...

Hey everyone! I talked to Fran a month or two ago and the cancellation of the interview is true and they aren't doing the personality test in lieu of either. Instead they will be averaging your TEAS score and academics on a 90% scale.
