Hey!

Has anyone applied to KSU for the Spring 2014 program?

I know it's still early but has anyone heard when interview letters are going out? I know last year they found out late August but the year before it was the second week of August so I'm frantically checking my mailbox everyday lol

I've been stalking the mail man all month! I haven't gotten anything either. This forum seems so quiet. I need someone to freak out with me. hahahaha!

Don't worry Elliot08 you're definitely not alone. I check my mail constantly and this forum at least 5 times a day! It seems a lot quieter than previous semesters though. I'm secretly hoping that means there aren't as many students applying aka a better chance for the rest of us!

That's what I was hoping! So are you currently enrolled at KSU? How are your stats? I heard that people that are part of fraternities and sororities get chosen over other students that may have better scores. Have you ever heard that? I'm so nervous!!!

I graduated from Auburn in '09 but I took joint enrollment classes at KSU my senior year of high school. Not sure what my exact GPAs are but I made a 90.7% on the TEAS, hoping its enough! I haven't heard that about frats/sororities, hoping that's not true. The waiting is killing me! Are you a student at KSU? Have you talked to anyone from admissions about interview letters?

I have a friend who was admitted to the accelerated program this fall. She says the interview letters are going in the mail tomorrow for Saturday delivery or Monday...I don't want to get anyone's hopes up as it may be misinformation but it's the first I've heard about a timeline so I wanted to share.

I am a KSU student. I haven't spoken with anyone recently. I was going to begin annoying them if I hadn't heard anything by September.

Your TEAS score is definitely competitive. Fran told me the average TEAS score for the program is around 84%. Good luck! I applied 6 months ago and the wait has been *******' agonizing!!

I'm applying for the accelerated program, as well. Never heard about the sorority thing, but I think if it gets you involved in community projects and volunteering, then that probably helps your chances. I've never been part of a sorority. I did volunteer at Kennestone for about 6 months before my husband passed away from leukemia in April. After that, it was hard enough to just juggle the grief, school, and my 3-year-old son. I hope to start volunteering again soon.

I applied to traditional BSN program. Well, I've done volunteer work. But like you McEm, I am a mother so I dont have much free time. My free time is spent studying to make sure I maintain a competitive GPA. Let's hope the rumor I heard about the sororities and frats is false.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I cannot imagine. Much admiration for continuing on your journey!
