I have applied to the accelerated program for the Spring 2009 semester. Does anyone know when they let you know about your acceptance...or when you can interview for a spot?

seriously....this wait thing is borderline cruel! Fran told me yesterday that they had mailed them Thurs & Fri. I don't really understand the need to mail on two different days. We should get them tomorrow, but that really depends on whether they were mailed this morning, or late today. We could end up getting them on monday. I find myself getting frustrated with my mail lady when she isn't here at 12 noon!!

I got my letter today and....

I AM IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :clown::chuckle

CONGRATS!!!!! Very happy for you!! My mail always comes late...anxiously awaiting. Did it come in a large envelope or just a standard letter size with one piece of paper? I'm wondering if I should be happy or sad if I see a regular sized envelope.

Oh Man.......It came in a THIN REGULAR envelope. When I saw it I was SO upset because usually good news comes in THICK Large ones. But as soon as I opened it up and saw "Congralutions!" my eyes blurred and I started screaming and dancing lol. I AM ANXIOUS TO HEAR ABOUT YOURS!!! Write as soon as you get it!!!!

finally got the mail today at 3:00 and got my letter....I was put on the standby list for the accelerated program in Jasper. Soooo sad. I don't know what the likelyhood is to get in if on standby. Plus, Jasper isn't exactly close to where I live, it would take me an hour or so to get there. I guess all I can do is wait and see....

Have anyone else heard about their acceptance??

Oh, I'm sorry you got standby:(:( The amount of people they accept for accelerated program is like 2/3 less than traditional, and I'm not sure if the same amount or less people apply. I hope some people go elsewhere so you can grab a slot!!!

thanks, did you get accepted into accelerated or traditional?

I'm also applying to GA Highlands to start in spring, but that goes to Rome...I don't know what is worse, driving to Rome or Jasper? Plus, GA Highlands is only a AN degree, not BSN.

Does anyone have any idea when they let you know if you are on standby? I'm frustrated b/c I am taking a class right now that I only need for GA Highlands. If I end up getting into KSU, then I can drop it, but the drop by date is Oct 7th. Nothing is easy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also got put onto the standby list but mine is for the Traditional program Spring 2009. I guess now I have to sit and wait some more...

I got accepted into the traditional..I don't hold a bachelors in anything else, just lots and lots of credit hours lol. I was going to attend GPC if KSU didn't accept me, but it would have been a much longer drive and an AN program despite having just about all prereqs for a BSN. I'll be thinking of you ladies. Keep me posted on your statuses.

Do you guys know if you can request to be put on the standby list for the various programs and at different campuses? For ex: I am on standby for accel at Jasper, but I was wondering if I could ask to be put on standby for the trad at Kennesaw and so on....

I'm not so sure that with gas prices the way they are that driving to Jasper 5 days a week will be practical. Even if I get in, not sure if I will accept it. Confused....!!

Hey Olichka...question for ya...since you got accepted, did your letter state that you have until Nov 14th to sign an agreement to confirm you would attend? I just wonder how long those of us who are on standby will have to wait to hear if we get in or not. Thanks
