I am in my final semester as an ADN student and have always struggled with the end of semester HESIs. I’ve probably only passed three in all my time here. Today I just failed my med surg HESI and have one HESI left. We aren’t required to pass the HESI in order to graduate, and I’m still passing my classes even with my low grade (low 700) since I always pass my unit exams with an A. I feel very depressed each time I fail one because classmates around me pass them easily but I always manage to fail just as easily. Also, I know they say this is a good indicator on whether or not you’ll pass the NCLEX so it just brings me down even more. If I can’t even pass a HESI, how the heck am I going to pass the NCLEX?? I would appreciate any input if anyone has had a similar experience and what the outcome was when it came to the NCLEX. Is there still a chance I can pass it? Or just words of encouragement because I really need them ? Thank you.

YES! You can still pass NCLEX despite the HESI exams. I was also one of those who did horribly on all of those tests. I was mainly in the high 600s - high 700s with an 800+ on two exams. Luckily, our school also did not make it a requirement to pass HESIs for graduation, until the Exit HESI. Believe it or not, I barely made that one on the first try by five points. ? And like yourself, I had mostly A's in all my classes. Go figure!?!??
I passed NCLEX in 75 questions on my first try! However, I also studied for it for 3 solid months and that was my only focus: STUDYING! But yes, you can still pass NCLEX , but you must be willing to put in all the effort to do so.

Don't worry. NCLEX is easier than HESI. I didn't passed HESI 4 times but I passed NCLEX first attempt. You got this. Trust yourself...

I would kindly like to know if there are books recommended for NCLEX exams for 2023?
Yes. buy online app Saunders NCLEX practice review and do 3000 questions before you take NCLEX. Guaranteed you will pass. I did just that and pass NCLEX
Thank you very much.
