Has anyone applied to the USC Keck Hospital Versant RN Residency Program (App filing period 10/7-14) for March 2014 employment? I would like to start a forum and update each other about the process! If previous applicants have gone through their residency programs before feel free to share your thoughts on the processes and experience!

Good luck everyone!

Did anyone get a job offer yet?

i don't think they've finished interviewing yet. They just started the OR interviews this week and it ends on Friday.

I got the same email, claritily! I guess I'm glad I just found this thread because I would have given up by now if I'd read it before lol

I wrote back but haven't heard anything yet. It says interviews will go on from December 9-16...the email means we got an interview, right? I don't want to jump the gun with my excitement...

Keseratops - I'm an external applicant. I precepted and volunteered in the ICU.

LR_RN26, Did you have an interview with the OR position? Would you mind sharing what kind of questions do they ask? Any help is appreciated. Thank you so much!

What units did u guys apply to?... Do they only send out emails regarding more position in ICU to those who received an interview?

They were basic behavioral questions. You can probably google it online.

@LR_RN26 I interviewed for OR as well last week. Do you remember when they said they will be deciding? I don't feel super confident about my interview, but hope I'm just exaggerating...I felt insecure about the length of the interview...felt it was too short. May I ask, how you feel it went? How long did yours last?

I thought it went okay. I tried to display as much confidence in myself (even though I didn't feel it). I don't think they would pick me though because my answers seemed more catered for a floor nurse than an OR nurse. The last time I interviewed, I was very nervous and talked really fast. It was over in 15 min. This time I tried to lengthen my time, so I think it took about 30 min.

I don't know when they'll notify us. Do you know how many people they are choosing? Best of luck to you.

@LR_RN26 thank you for the info...wow, yes mine lasted about 20 mins I believe. :/ I keep hearing they are taking 8 new grads, but I did not ask. Did you interview for OR last time? I guess what's mostly making me feel insecure is the reaction (or lack of) from one of the interviewers (the director). Did you get the same vibe?

I had an interview for the Versant program last time. I don't remember which one the director was, but I know what you mean. They definitely had a different vibe then when I interviewed for the other program. Tania was still very nice though.

@LR_RN26 Yes, Tania is such a sweetheart! Okay, glad to know I'm in good company. I'm sure you did great, guess now we just wait. ::taps fingers:: I did get letter stating I was on the County list, so I guess I could start scheduling interviews for County facilities as well. Best of luck with County, too, I did read you were hired! So cool!!!

Has anyone received an offer for ANY of the units?!
