Keck Hospital of USC RN Versant Program March 2014

Has anyone applied to the USC Keck Hospital Versant RN Residency Program (App filing period 10/7-14) for March 2014 employment? I would like to start a forum and update each other about the process! If previous applicants have gone through their residency programs before feel free to share your thoughts on the processes and experience!

In order to apply for Norris Cancer Center Hem Onc, you first have to apply to the KECK Versant program and get accepted. In addition, there has to be a spot for the department that you are requesting. The size of the program changes based on needs of the department and budget. When I went through this program a few years ago, we selected either OR nurse or bedside nursing on our application. ICU requires separate training. I would suggest applying for a standard bedside nurse, gain experience, then apply later for ICU training. As a new grad, you really need some experience under your belt! Best of Luck!

Thanks so much for your reply. The way they want us to put where we want to work is to write our top two unit choices of interest in our personal statement. I am just very unfamiliar with the units at USC. Which units are standard beside nursing?
