If you can't gain acceptance into KCC, it probably means you're not cut out for the nursing field. Maybe you should try another profession? It's a community college, everyone gets in. You just need to be smarter than the rest. If i were patient, i wouldn't want anyone with a 84 on the teas working on me.

Dude.. people get in any community college nursing program below 80% in mainland and many other nursing programs in mainland requires only around 65%~70% of TEAS. And KCC nursing is nothing like mainland community college nursing programs.

Ohhhh boy, not one of “these” people.... if it hasn’t occurred to you yet.... NO ONES CARES WHAT YOU THINK BYE NOW.

LOL!! You're not even a nurse!! Show proof! Post a pic or it didn't happen.

what do i get if i show proof?

Hi guys,

Just wondering, does the KCC ADN program accept the local students from Hawaii first before considering any out of state applicants?

it's not like i'm an MD or anything. i'm only a lowly nurse. i'm a slave. not on the bottom of the totem pole, but just a step above.

i don't know if they accept hawaii applicants first of not, but they should. it's what they do for UH Manoa medical school. they should at least do it for the KCC RT program. either that, or charge out of state applicants and arm and a leg so it's so expensive for them that they will go elsewhere. they can then charge the residents less tuition.

I read on the FAQ on their website that they take residents first before non residents.

“21. Are non-resident students accepted into the nursing program?

All students are welcome to apply regardless of their tuition status (i.e., resident or non-resident); however, the Nursing Department at Kapi‘olani Community College must first consider all qualified nursing applicants, who are deemed as Hawai‘i residents for tuition purposes. Students, who are deemed as non-residents for tuition purposes, will be considered on a space-available basis.”

hope this helps!

I think anyone who really does “know all about kcc” would know that not everyone gets in lol. KCC receives 200+ applicants and only accepts around 20. In fact, they only accepted around 12 students last semester. Though it’s a community college, it is still highly competitive. The program is super popular because KCC’s nursing students save a ton of money & receive their RN license quicker.

lol this person probably failed or couldn't get accepted to a nursing school and now they hating.

and yeah, it's a community college, anyone can get into a community college but good luck to everyone trying to get into KCC or UH's nursing program, it's tough.

also I'm not a nurse but if I were, I wouldn't want this person as my patient.
