I recently transferred to KBCC and will be taking the TEAS exam in December. I'm registered to take Microbiology and Applied Physical Sciences for Allied Health Careers this fall. I'd like to connect with others who are on the same path this semester with the intention to form a support/study group. Present students are welcome also.

You're welcome. I hope that all goes well for you in regards to your schedule. A piece of advice( I know that you didn't ask, but I will share anyway because I want for us all to win): At some point, you will have to decide what sacrifices you will be willing to make to pursue your dreams. Whether it's a new job location or some maneuvering that may need to be done concerning your support system. The faculty and students are very supportive in comparison to a lot of the other programs in our area. This is very valuable in such a rigorous program. Try reaching out to the nursing department for some direction in regards to the fall semester and the expected schedules. Explain your situation and see what they share so that you can prepare.
@Ana2021 Hi Ana, the science part is challenging. Out of all the subjects I would say to study the one the most you are weak it. I found Quizlet very helpful when it came to studying for the exam. A lot of what’s on there is on the exam.
@Nawkole I appreciate you sharing that with me. I am willing to make sacrifices as I’ll be going from FT to PT but I can’t stop working completely as you know we all have bills. My job is willing to work along with me but I need to know schedule first. As I mentioned before I can only do evenings. That’s my only options in order to maintain my position even though just part time.
How did you do with your first two classes?

I understand completely. All will work in your favor. From what I understand; the lecture classes will be remote. I'm not sure if whether that will help or if whether things will change. I did well in both classes (Fundamentals and Dosage) Lots of studying though. Practice questions helped the most as well as networking with classmates within the cohort and individual classes. It's also good to remain connected with students who are in classes ahead because they helped to keep my mind sane when I was stressed and needed encouragement or direction. I'd be happy to share resources with you also if you share your email address.

Thank you. It’s nerve-racking. I keep checking CUNY first and the application status. For any updates. None so far. Good luck!
@Noni Noni How are you checking the application status? When I try to go back to the application link it takes me as if I’m applying for the first time.
