Kaweah Delta

Published

Hello! Looking for anyone who might have applied to Kaweah delta new grad positions in Visalia, Ca (past and present) Thanks ?

I interviewed in late March/early April and was offered a position the next week or so!

Thank you for the info. Do you know what starting pay the offer for new grads or does it depend on the unit? Looking to get into labor and delivery and post partum since that is what unit I did my senior preceptorship. Also no sure if the residency is 1 year or if you have a contract after for another year or two.

@jr769941 did they offer you a position?

No, not after talking with the recruiter. She was able to talk to me about what positions they currently have open and she let me know which positions she would forward my info to the hiring managers for.

The pay is the same for anyone who has less than a year of experience, regardless of the unit. The starting salary from the offer they made to me back in March was $38.50 an hour, and I believe a $3 or $4 differential for night shift. And the training depends on the unit. But the expectation is that you commit to 2 years from hire date. If you don’t complete the 2 years and they offered you a stipend to help you relocate, you have to pay back half of that stipend. I think it was $2k to help you move. If they you didn’t have to relocate, I’m not sure what the process is if you leave before 2 years in regards to paying any money back

That is not bad at all. And I would prefer to stay in the area for atleast a few years or longer if selected. Do you know when the new grad programs start? Some places start 2-3 times during the year.

The recruiter I had interviewed with said there is no official start date or timeline for us unlike other residency programs and they do not necessarily do cohort hiring of nurses. It's on a rolling basis year round. It sounds like you're able to start as soon as you receive an offer and are able to relocate, but also depends at the hiring manager's discretion.

Oh OK. I actually would prefer time to relocated like around July or August.

I'm sure you can probably come to an agreement with the unit manager about that! The recruiter was a bit more general about the start date and didn't provide exact detail. Good luck with your interview!

I am in the same boat as jr769941: "she let me know which positions she would forward my info to the hiring managers for" and am currently waiting for a call or update from a hiring manager.

I have my recruiter interview next week! I was wondering if those who had it already could let me know what units are hiring?

Hey! Goodluck! So when I spoke to them on Friday last week, if I remember correctly, they had some ER,ICU,surgery, med surg, and maybe post partum ( but I’m not sure of that one)

I interviewed a week ago and the recruiter said he would send my info to the hiring managers who would contact me in 1-2 weeks for an interview and then a possible offer. He said an ADN starts at 37 something and BSN is a dollar more. He asked all behavioral questions and wanted to know about me and why I chose nursing and Kaweah.

Have you guys been contacted by the managers at KAWEAH? Anyone received an offer letter?
