I am freaking out right now, because I have being using kaplan strategies to answer some question and it doesn't work. Some questions, I will want to go with my instinct, but if i use the strategies they taught us in the review, I will get it wrong and the right answer will be the one with my instint. Ok like patient b4 equipment, but the equipment 1st was right, this is just one of many. I am so worried that I will mess up in the Nclex with this. I am confuse now and I have just few days to go. Please any suggestions, HEEEELLLLLLLPP!!!!!!!!:angryfire:confused:

What I do is if I'm not 100% sure with my instinct, then I go with Kaplan's strategies. But always go with your instinct first, that answer jumps out at you for a reason. I do agree with you, sometimes the strategies screw me all up!

I also felt like the strategies didn't work at times. However when I took my boards I used Kaplan strategies when I had no idea of the answer and passed with 75 questions! I give all the credit to Kaplan for helping me pass my boards. I also used Saunders but felt that the Kaplan questions were closer to the questions I had on the boards. Hang in there ----You will pass also! Good Luck!

honestly, i didnt much care for the kaplan learning tree strategy thing. I like the content review of the course, but i didnt use the strategy while taking the NCLEX, and i passed.
I think if youre already set in your way of answering questions, then you should stick to that...at least for me, it was too difficult to follow that whole learning tree decision making thingy.

Hi, I just took NCLEX and the questions I got were extremely similar to Kaplan ~ I'd keep doing Kaplan....just to get used to the style of questioning.

I used Kaplan Q trainer to get used to an NCLEX style test. It is very similar that's why I am recommending Kaplan. Also, I felt the questions on the NCLEX may have been easier than Kaplan. So that's another good reason to use it. I passed with 140+.
