My scores for Kaplan qt1 is 48, qt2 56, qt3 48, qt4 49, qt 5 47. My diagnostic test is 57 and my readiness test is 61. My average in qbank is at 56%. I scored a n 64% on practice exam. My scores are all over the place! I do not know what to do or how to start. This will be my second attempt at the NCLE RN. When I choose an answer, I pick the right one but always change it. My scores are to low and I am tired. Maybe I need to go back to studying content again because I stopped that. Any advice will be gratefully appreciated.

My qbanks were all over the place too. I didn't do the qtrainers but my last 5 qbanks were 62, 54, 68, 48, 72.
I studied content along with questions though. I did Hurst and Kaplan qbanks and I think it was a great combination.
THank you for replying. Did you read the content as you are reviewing or how did you study content and questions together?

I too recently failed nclex. My first score were Diag: 52Qt:48Qt2:54Qt3:49Qt4; 52Qt5; 52Qt6: 54Qt755Read: 58I thin I am missing content and didn't really pay attention reading all the rationales. Which made me fail the test. Now I am doing better after reading all the rationales and re-reading Kaplan book for content, using Saunders comprehensive, ncsbn, lippincotte, nclex 4000I got qt1: 66Qt2: 77Saunders pretestQt5
Saunders per test:73%Nclex 4000: 57% ( low score due to content, to I am reading the rationales in each questions) writing all the mistakes ones and re-reading them.Lippincotte I did horrible on my first 50questions about labor and delivery content. What I'm doing right now, reading and re-writing them and at the end of the day. Re-read my notes. And I see I. Get a huge improvement. My goal is to use different resources plan to do question alternately.
Hurst is a series of videos you watch online. It reviews all the core content that they think are absolutely crucial to passing the NCLEX. When you're doing any kind of practice questions, you have to read and make sure you understand the rationale. Not just for the ones you get wrong but also the ones you get right, you must understand the rationales! Otherwise, there is no point in doing those questions.
Thanks everyone for your comments! My Saunders assessment was a 68. I am using Kaplan classroom any where, Lacharity, Saunders and I have Hurst content reviews. I re-read every question and understand why I missed it, usually because I changed my answers other times I just did not know. So I am listening to Kaplan reviews now because they do not focus on just one topic like Cardio, they break it down into the different parts of the NCLEX test. And then if I still do not know then I go to Saunders or Hurst. (This is my new plan) I think I will try writing the ones I missed down, like the rest of you, instead of just writing the topics that I do not understand. I have been a LPN for 11 years and I graduated from nursing school in May. I have to retake the test soon and I do not have money to keep throwing away. I am wondering should I change my date or just buckle down a little harder and get her done.

I failed my first attempt at the NCLEX, I was so down I waited a year before I took it again! I forgot a lot of content and didnt even know where to begin studying! I ended up paying for the HURST review online... Let me just tell you- AMAZING! I wish I would have done that the first time!! It helps with Content and Test questions!! I passed my second attempt in 75 questions! I wish I would have listened to the Hurst review lectures during school! Everything made so much sense! - As for your scores.... My second time around I was scoring anywhere from 60-80% on the Pre-tests (mostly high 60's) and again I passed in 75 questions! Good Luck!

Stop doing that then! Choose your answer and move along.
My average in qbank is still 56% (I still have more to complete), my score for qtrainer 6 66% (I got qt7 to go and 2 sample test). My average in Kaplan strategies book is 68%. See what I mean, my scores are all the place. I test next week.
Good luck and Gob bless on your upcoming test. Just keep studying. Oh, btw there's a study guide that is going around and I heard so much good things about it on how people helped them to pass nclex. You might want to look for it. Let us know how it goes after.
Thank you! My average in qbank is still 56% (I have completed 75%). qtrainer 6 66%, qtrainer 7 56% (I personally think it was the 265 questions). My average in Kaplan strategies book is 68%. See what I mean, my scores are all the place. I test next week. Even though I am nervous I still have faith and confidence that I can pass this time. The Kaplan customer service said that on 6 & 7 am for 60% so I am close to it with qtrainer 7 so I am still happy with it! Tommorow will be just content and review only! No questions!! R & R on Sunday!!
