I know this has probably been posted a million times on this forum, so here it goes again..
I'm scheduled to take the NCLEX-RN in a week and a half. I took Kaplan, which finished 2 weeks ago. Below are my scores:
Diagnostic=63%, Qt1=53%, QT2=70%, Qt3=55%, QT4=63%, Qt5=63%, Qt6=68%, Qt7=61%, Readiness=73%, Qbank average= 58% w/new questions only but it's currently is a 66% because I have no retaking some of the questions I got wrong before.
I really don't feel like I've learned anything from Kaplan, but I know so many people swear by it! I feel like I'm not prepared to take this test at all! I don't know anything! But then I ask myself will I ever be prepared? Do people go into the NCLEX and say to themself "I know everything I need to know to pass this test?" Or should I just go go into the test and hope for the best? People keep telling me that as long as I do all the questions Kaplan has and read/understand the rationales that I'll be fine. I sorta believe them because of Kaplan's high pass rate, but I can't help but wonder "what if?" What are your thoughts? I know that if I don't feel prepared that I should wait, I just really want to get this thing over with. I hate waking up every morning and sitting on the computer all day doing those stupid questions!!
Please let me know what you think!! Thank you :loveya:
My average q-bank score was 54%. I was mostly pulling 58's and 56's for a while, and getting quite a few low 50's also. Toward the last week before the exam, I started studying the kaplan book like my life depended upon it. And I studied all the rationales to the stuff I got wrong, or have gotten right for the wrong reasons. I immediately seen a change from 50's to 66's.
My question trainers went like this:
QT1: 45%
QT2: 53%
QT3: 48%
QT4: 49%
QT5: 57%
QT6: 53%
QT7: 62%
Took the NCLEX-RN two days ago, got my results in this morning: I PASSED AT 75 QUESTIONS!!! The test was like a breeze, full of questions that I feel like I've done thousands of times: mostly priority and delegation. Regardless of your scores you have a lot to gain from learning from your mistakes. Don't take it to heart!! Good luck everyone!
