My diagnostic was 57%
My readiness was 60%
I took the class.
Took a week off.
Started studying about a week ago, reviewing the content I scored most poorly in.
QT1: 56%
QT2: 50%
QT3: 54%
QT4: 61%
QT5: 62%
QT6: 60%
havent taken 7 yet!
My average for Q bank is 56%, but I've only finish 54% of the questions.
My most recent Q bank scores average in the 60s, including the highest I have gotten yet, a 66!
I'm not stressing, I see anything about 55 and I'm happy.
Am I in denile?
I my diagnostic I got 63% and on my readiness I got 62% but my scores have been aweful for the QTs. I've only gone to QT 4 b/c I'm really discouraged. I've gone from mid 50s to a 49% on my QT 4!!!!! One thing that I do remember was that the instructor who taught the Kaplan course said we recieved less then a 55 we should review the Kaplan book 3 times and if below 65% review 2 times. She was referring to our diagnostic and readiness exams. I mean I took the class about 5 weeks ago now and I've only read the book once. Do u guys think I should read the book again and see if my scores improve?

Our Kaplan instructor told us to not even bother with watching the videos or reading the book. She said just keep doing questions over and over. However, I did watch the videos, but they are so long and by the time I finished the videos I would be too tired and wouldn't feel like sitting at the computer to do questions. What I ended up doing was the first thing I would do when I got up in the morning was do a 50 question test from qbank. Then I watched the videos and followed along in my blue book. I'm scheduled to take the NCLEX on Tuesday, so what I'm doing right now is I review about 50 pages/day from the blue Kaplan book and redo as many questions as I can. To be honest though, I feel like reading the rationales is more benefitical than trying to study that whole book. But I guess I won't know until after I take the test.
Also, my scores were VERY inconcistent up until 2-3 weeks ago. Just keep doing those questions and it will click.
GOOD LUCK!!
Hi all,
I took the Kaplan NCLEX review, too. It's been 2 weeks and, even though I did okay on my readiness test, my Qbank scores have been getting progressively worse with each passing day. I'm taking the NCLEX this Friday and and really starting to doubt myself. I think the problem is that I'm over-using Kaplan's strategy (using it in situations when it doesn't apply). So I figure, with two days left before the big exam, I should just lay off the practice questions, and just focus on reviewing some simple stuff like lab values and definitions. Any advise??
claralon,
I'm taking the nclex in PA. I'm done all the questions so I'm retaking as many questions as I can right now, but it's to the point that I'm starting to get soooo bored with seeing the same questions over and over. I just retook qt6 and got an 84%; the first time I got a 68%, but I remembered a lot of the answers. That 68% was also the higest score I got on a qtrainer. I got a 61% on qtrainer 7 so I'm def going to redo that Friday and I got a 73% on my readiness test. My average right now on qbank is a 68%, but that's just because I'm redoing all of the questions I got wrong (I think I had like a 57% average when I was just doing new questions.) I still feel like I know absolutely nothing at all, but I'm just going to hope for the best.
What did you get a 72 in? Do you feel prepared for the NCLEX? Everyone says such great things about Kaplan so I'm putting all my trust (and money) into them and hoping I have the same success. Can you believe we only have a couple more days!?! This is sorta funny but I was thinking about how excited/scared I was about the NCLEX and I thought of that "Saved by the Bell" episode when Jessie is preparing for a big test and she took caffeine pills to help her study. At one point Zach went to check on her and she was so stressed that she sang "i'm so excited, i'm so excited, i'm sooo scaredddd!!!" Now I know EXACTLY how she felt..haha!
Keep up the good work and Good luck!! Keep in touch!

glamgal,
Our Kaplan instructor told us not to retatke the questions, but guess what? I did...I also am getting better scores, but thats because I know the material NOW and I just see the same questions over and over like you. I think we might be studying too much...at least thats what Ive been told. But I thinks thats better than being lenient...I got a 72 in one of my qbanks...and I have never gotten such high score before...I am feeling just like you...like I know nothing...but what else can we do?? Ive read some of those 600 PAGES of the BLUE BOOK, Ive watched the videos, and done 94% of the qbank...I still need to do QT7 which I felt for the weekend, just to be prepared...I still think I dont know anything...I feel like I should study more since sometimes I lose concentration and then I feel like I didnt study...!!! Im just frustrated at this point...and I am also so scared too :) haha...that is exactly how I feel too...Hopefully I know if I passed before 4th of July, but I doubt it since I am in Cali, I will have to wait maybe until the Monday after!!! GOOD LUCK and we can do it...we graduated nursing school since we know this...we know how to be competent nurses...and being confident, I believe will help us...Let me know when you pass, because you will...!!!
Clara...counting down the days for NCLEX!!!

I'm nervous about my Kaplan scores also...but I still have exactly two weeks until I take my test.
Diagnostic Test: 61 %
QT1: 63%
QT2: 52%
QT3: 56%
QT4: 54%
Qbank overall: 56% will only 11% of it completed so far.
I hope I can do okay with these scores!! I'm glad I haven't fallen below 50%!! Does anyone believe that passing is still possible with these scores so far?
