okay that makes me feel a little better. I took an ATI exam right before I finished nursing school and I did so terrible but wasnt suprised because I hadn't been studying much. I think I got like a 50% but according to their scale I only had a 29% chance of passing so it was bad and I expected to fail.
I have heard over and over that the ATI is harder than the NCLEX. Our Exit exam consists of a comprehensive ATI that you must pass to graduate. We are also offered the ATI NCLEX Review after we graduate and they (ATI) are committed to you until you pass, which is why I was thinking of doing ATI, Saunders and Kaplan Strategies Practice NCLEX book. I am hoping this will be enough for me to pass. Kaplan is costing us $400 with a student discount, money I can use towards paying for the NCLEX exam, instead.
Any thoughts?
Remember - The readiness exam by Kaplan tells you what your odds are of passing the NCLEX if you were to take it that day! The reason for the exam is to see where your weaknesses are and to make yourself Qbank question tests to practice those areas!

I heard there is like a scale where it will tell you your probability of passing... so far I've taken three question trainers and they were:#1 48
#2 56
#3 53
I havent taken 4,5,6 and 7 yet but I have finished almost every question on the qbank and have been mostly in the middle 50's my highest was a 60.
I am retesting on the 17th and I pray I pass this time! I failed 75 questions the first time and did horrible.

Congrats. How much time do you think you spent on Kaplan? I went to an awful school and when I move back hom in 2 weeks I'll start Kaplan and I plan on studying 6 hours a day, 6 days a week for about 10 weeks. I hope that is enough.

Can I ask how many questions you got. Students from our school are all over the place. A few passed with 75 questions, others got 140 Q, 160 Q, and a lot of people have failed and most of them with 75 Q. One failed with about 250 Q so she has a much better chance the second time around.
By the way out of all the students that passed with 75 Q, they all took about 3 hours. So they really took their time.
