Kaplan Questions Can Be Funny...

Published

This is kind of a silly question, but it is a legitimately silly question [big difference] ;). Anyway, I've come across so many questions with answers that are so ridiculous, they're funny. Sometimes, they're so funny, I have a hard time keeping my laughter silent (at our school's testing center). So, this has me thinking about the day I take my NCLEX. Are questions on NCLEX as ridiculous as Kaplan's, or are they far more serious?

You can't leave us hanging without some examples!

I agree. I'd like to see some examples! On my NCLEX I got a question on pericare. I couldn't help but let out a chuckle. I wondered after if they threw it in there kind of like "hey! You seem tense!! Here's a doozy to help you relax ;-) ;-)" lol.

Am I allowed to post examples?

Ok, I still remember this one - Kaplan ----Pt is schizophrenic woman complaining that her breasts are leaking milk....

One of the choices was "OK! Do you want to make fudge?"

I seriously almost peed my pants

NCLEX is so random ,you dont know what you will get

I have a funny one I ran across the other day (Compliments of the Lippincott app on my phone):

A nurse is assessing the genitalia of a male patient. The nurse finds the patient has a piercing in his member. Why is it important to investigate the details of the piercing.

And honest to god...Answer B is "Because the nurse may also want to get a piercing there".

I about died! :lol2:
