Hello everyone. in my last post i stated i was taking my test on feb 12th and i'm sitting here doing my saunders q and a. My question is i also have another window open with all my info entered in to the kaplan q bank sign up. i'm just wondering is it worth it? I have the Kaplan strategy guide with practice test and scored 67%. Is Saunders Q & A, Kaplan strategy guide alone enough? I don't know, i'm really torn.

Saunders questions are much easier than Kaplan questions. How are your scores on Saunders? Are they at least 75%? If you feel confidence on your content, then you should have no problem. Kaplan qbanks questions are harder than Saunders. My instructor told us we need to know content in med-surg quite well in order to pass. I am taking it for my second time and did not know content as well, so this time I am studying my content as well as doing questions. Hope this helps.

I took my NCLEX lvn exam in CA on 1/14/10, and used the Kaplan Qbank, it helped me alot for the test. As alot of my questions were worded similiar in content.

is there a cheaper version for kaplan q bank? like nclex 4000 or exam cram?
Thank you all for responding to my post. as for my Saunders score they're in the 70's. I have exam cram but i'm not really to into it, not quite sure why but its hard for me to use that book. The Saunders Q & A is what i'm focusing on along with Kaplan Qbank which i just purchased. 100 questions from Saunders in the a.m. and 100 Kaplan questions in the p.m. Along with some praying :)

I think it is too close to your test date for you to get your money's worth from Qbank at this time. I would go ahead with what you have and test on the 12th. Should the unlikely event that you not pass occur, then I would definitely invest in Qbank for your next prep plan. Good luck.
just checked on the pearson vue website quick results and well i PASSED!!! i mean of course its the unofficial results but WOW what a relief. Thank you guys for helping me out, but most of all thank God!

Yes! Kaplan qbank helped me out quite a bit, what it helped me with was being able to differentiate between the answers that both or all sounded right. It was very good training. Initially I scored in the mid 60's then I began to hit in the 70's and as test date got closer i started dipping into the 50's, i think i may have burnt myself out. The best thing i did was to stop studying about two days ahead and just relax, i took a little time out to go over labs. As for passing, i don't see why you shouldnt, don't let Kaplan dissuade you. the questions on there are much harder than nclex. my computer shut off at 75 much to my surprise, i couldn't believe it. Say a prayer and take a breath, it helps. You can do this! Let us know :)

The q bank helped the most for me....passed with 75 q's. I didn't buy the class. My average scores were like 65%, I started to get 68-70% a week before the exam and I felt ready to test. When I took the test I thought I was doing poorly b/c the questions weren't that bad. I got less than 10 SATA, no math...It wasn't that bad and I did think the questions I got were relevant to nursing.
