Well I just finished qtrainer 7 and got a 66%. For anyone who has taken Kaplan and taken the NCLEX, I was wondering if this is a good thing? On qtrainer 5 i got a 72 and on qtrainer 6 i got a 70. I want to know if I'm even close to being ready? Thank you.

hey there hypoxic....(not sure what to think about your name??? i just hope you don't get that way at the center when you take your boards!)
all i can say on your scores on your trainers is.............:urck:
those are really great scores!
what is your overall percentage in qbank questions?
have you done more than 1000 questions in the qbank?
and one more question are you feeling confident and positive about this? can you tell yourself !yes, im going to pass this?
if you can.....dude you are ready!!!
i think you are ready to pass!
those are great percentages on your trainers. on the last 2 trainers you have to score above what 65%? something like that?
i took kaplan and studied my butt off for a whole month!
took the rn boards on tuesday....stopped at 75 questions. they were hard, and challenging not going to lie to you! but i did it!!!
if it makes you feel any better......i can tell you that for sure that kaplan questions and style are very much like the rn boards.
i wish you so, so much luck! i know you will do this!!!
just keep positive and have lots an tons of faith in yourself!!!!

Yeah I'll try not to pass out, LOL!!! Thanks for your support and words of encouragement. I think my overall scores for the qbank was maybe about a 64%. I'm not totally sure. And I did all the questions in there. I take the test on Monday, and I was kind of freaking out. So I hope I do well.
Man that last qtrainer was sooooooooooooo hard!!!!
Cool, your taking the test on Monday! That's awsome! The sooner the better!!!
Yeah! you will do fine!
Kaplan helped me a lot!
Sunday, don't do any intensive studying. Don't over do it!
Relax, take a break!
On Monday, make sure you feed your brain before going in!
Say a prayer when you sit at the computer. On the board that they will provide, write your name on top with RN beside it! Just to keep you focused!!!
Remember: After you are done with the test......DO NOT GO BACK TO THE BOOK AND LOOK UP STUFF!!!!
BEST OF LUCK! I KNOW YOU WILL DO FINE!!!!
Let me know how it went ok!!!

Thank you!!!! I'll do everything on Monday morning to keep myself thinking positive. I'll keep you posted on how I do. I noticed you lived in CA, how long did it take for you to get your results?
hypoxic!
good morning! :weathersunsmall:
took 3 days to get the results. so, don't bother in checking the next day because the results wont be there. trust me, i was a crazy mad woman checking everyday and every hour hoping to see my name on the brn website....yeah call me crazy!
the brn website updates everyday in the morning. someone in this forum told me it updates daily at 3am.
so your taking your boards tomorrow, so check on thursday morning and i know you will see your name!!
best of luck man!!!
i'll be checking on how it went!!!

I'm hoping the results post that fast. If I don't see them by then, I'll begin to worry.

Hey Hypoxic,
Wishing I was in your boat right now ... being able to say I took the NCLEX.How is the relaxing going?
I just finished my last question trainer and I can actually say I did better tthan I thought I would I got 65% and 66% on both application and analysis. I was amazed as to who much I knew. I sure hope I am this calm while taking the exam on Saturday.
I am debating as to whether or not I should do more questions or just relax I have decreased the amount of questions I do daily significantly these past couple days(3) because I found myself stressing out and it has really helped.
just feel weird you know:1) it is really happening 2) I have completed Suzanne's plan and kaplan and I don't know what else to do:rolleyes:
Currently my house is a walking flashcard as i do dishes I look as posting my boyfriend put on all the walls of our apt of lab values and precautions etc. CANT WAIT TO HAVE MY HOUSE BACK!
Anywho stay sunny :)

That's a pretty good score on your qtrainer. I would suggest going over some weak spots (if you have any). Also possibly going over meds. Most of the people that I know that have taken the test, say that they're plenty of meds on the test. Study hard today and tomorrow. Take Friday easy, just relax and try not to think about the test too much. Good luck and let me know how you do.

Yes that is very good on Question Trainer 7 your suppose to get at least 60%, you went above that and on the other question trainer you suppose to get at least a 65%, your doing great. I took my NCLEX today and thought Kaplan questions prepared me a whole lot and also using their decision tree; I got 75 questions. One word of advice make sure you know your conversion factors, when your nervous even though you know it you can forget it and the computer may just keep on giving you the same question with diffrent numbers to see if you are competent in this area.
Of course I have weak spots SATA, Diseases all those weird diseases we never ever heard of in Nursing school and those funky questions where you have to locate a landmark on the body. Actually feel good about my meds and calculations but doesn't hurt to go over almost everything okay gonna get back at it:bugeyes:
I don't know if you can strengthen SATA. When I did those questions on the test, it was more about if I knew the information. It seemed like they wanted me to memorize signs and symptoms or pt teaching regarding a disease or medication. Its weird, I never looked at calculations before the exam, I only did the ones in the qbank. And of course the one I get on the test was one that wasn't in the qbank or qtrainer.
