nclex aug 11th
Hey, I felt the same way too when my exam day came which was on Wensday; its okay to feel a little anxious cause I know I sure did. Soon as I got to the computer I could feel my heart pumping fast, but then I said to myself take a deep breath and said to my self I CAN DO THIS; I mean I sacraficed two months of studying and I wanted to show something for it, you know a lot when you actually sit at the computer and think about what the question is really trying to ask you, for the questions where I didn't know what they were talking about I followed Kaplan rule where it said to look at the answers for clues, that actually works; the decision tree worked for me too. The day before the test I made sure I relaxed, the only thing I did was make sure I knew my lab values and had 8 good hours of sleep well probably five since I couldn't sleep that good; Anyway you'll do great just keep a Postive attitude; You know what you know now all you have to do is put all that knowlege to work that day.

NCLEX Drug Calculations
Hello, I took my NCLEX on July 30th, had 4 math questions that were mcg/kg/min. At first I forgot the conversion factor for mcg/kg/min, so got the first question wrong; I was given the same question again but with diffrent numbers and remembered that 1mg = 1000mcg so used that for the second question. I was given the same question again with different numbers and used the same conversion factor. Another question exactly the same came at question 71 exactly the same diffrent number, I thought maybe I got the wrong conversion factor so I used 1g=1000mcg which is wrong, I guess I was nervous, do you think this can mess up my chances in passing; the computer stopped at 75.

Just got home from the NCLEX...
I know how you feel I took mine on Wensday, and while I was driving home I also started crying; I got 75 questions; but there was this one math question that I had three diffrent times with diffrent numbers; I hope that is not the question that will make or break me. Stay Positive; I get my results tomorrow and I am very terrified of the results.

my exam is on aug 2
Hey took my NCLEX yesterday had 75 questions; for some reason I didn't spend a lot of time on math questions; boy do I regret that. I had four calculation problems; for some reason I never really had a problem with doing math questions but I don't know if it was anxiety but I forgot the conversion factor 1mg =1000mcg; but for some reason for my first math question I was debating is 1g = 1000mcg; but of course not; the reason I chose that because the question asked to put it in ml/hr and i just didn't like how the answer came out, too many zeros at the end anyway the computer kept on giving me the same question with diffrent number a total of 4 excluding the first on I got incorrect; I am hoping that didn't mess my chances in passing. Just remember to review your conversion factors, in my opinion the math questions were basic and not hard. when you get to the computer take a deep breath and say to youself i know I can do it. Whenever you get a question think about what their asking you; is you don't know what their asking you look at the answer choices for clues. I believe you will do great just take your time on each anser choice and figure out the outcome of each; say to yourself does this answer choice satisfy the question. Just a reminder the computer will blank out in 2hrs and ask you if you want to take a break don't panic because I did, I was at question 62 and it blanked i was saying to myself is this for real, forgetting for a second the computer wil make it first decision at 75. Anyway good luck, oh i did get a lot of meds and i know those are also a part of the math section so I might have a chance.

Kaplan qtrainers
Yes that is very good on Question Trainer 7 your suppose to get at least 60%, you went above that and on the other question trainer you suppose to get at least a 65%, your doing great. I took my NCLEX today and thought Kaplan questions prepared me a whole lot and also using their decision tree; I got 75 questions. One word of advice make sure you know your conversion factors, when your nervous even though you know it you can forget it and the computer may just keep on giving you the same question with diffrent numbers to see if you are competent in this area.

TOMORROW is the day...
Hey sorry I didnt email you back sooner but I believe Kaplan help me a whole lot and the questions were similar. A lot of priority an infection control.
