Kaplan qbank not doing super well!

Published

Hey all!

I have been studying mostly using kaplan qbank and qtrainers. I'm not done all the qtrainers yet and haven't done too hot on the ones I have done so far. Also my qbanks are not the best and I am freaking out! Wanted some opinions on how everyone else did in relation to the nclex.

My kaplan instructor told us not to worry about the percent as much as your hear rather track your performance so I've been doing that as well! I'm just have a major mental break down due to my test being neXT week... if anyone has any advice please help me out!

Thanks!:)

My qtrainer average with 100% done was 58%, my qband went between 58 and 70 something. I passed first time. Does that help?

How were your scores?! my qbank scores are all over the place.... i have ones as low as 47% and i haven't gotten higher then 61%. I take 3 a day usually and i go from getting a 60% down to a 50% on the next one... i am so confused and starting to feel discouraged because im only averaging around a 55% for qbank. I am still working on my qtrainers...

Did you do anything else to help you prepare?!

Thank you again!

I posted my q scores. my diagnostic was 55 the first time and I had them unlock it 2 days before me exam, took it again and got 79. My readiness was 60

okay! did you do anything else to prepare or just Kaplan? im usually confident in myself but for some reason i am freaking myself out! I got a 57 on my diagnostic and a 56 on my readiness. i just keep doing qbanks and reviewing the rational but because im so up and down with my score i feel like i should do more... The stress is killing meeeee!

First, I never met ANYONE who didn't stress like that., What you feel is totally normal!!

I did Saunders for content. I also signed up for the free trial week of Hurst and did everything I could during that week. I bought pharm flash cards from amazon (about 20-25$) and there is a 35 page study guide floating around here that I used (sorry, not sure where I got it now-this was a year ago)

If you call Kaplan, they will unlock the diagnostic test so you can take it again. I suggest doing that a couple of days prior to the NCLEX, then based on that score, either keep your appointment or reschedule it.

Because of the way that the CAT test works, you are going to expect to miss about 50% of the questions on the actual test. High 50s and above are not awful!
