I'm curious myself! I did 4 of them and quit. They were making me mad, lol. I'm just doing Lacharity now and 3500. If I have time, I'll go back to Kaplan, but I want something more focused on specific topics. Kaplan had too much maternity/ped/psych, which I don't really want to focus on right now.

i thought there would be more input from others but i guess not

The important task at hand is to learn the material behind the questions so that one can answer questions correctly no matter how they are presented.

Yes, but I'm doing much better on 3500 than I am on Kaplan and I feel like I know the information. I feel like Kaplan's answered are a bit convoluted at times. I'm just curious if the NCLEX answers are also as complex.

yea i was using nclex 3500/4000 and at times i thought the questions were too easy, so i backed off of that for a while until i stumbled upon kaplan, i think 3500/4000 is good for content areas and aswering questions but kaplan in my opinion is challenging and i like that

How are you scoring on Kaplan?

I agree Kaplan can be challenging at times. Before I practiced kaplan, I did Lippincott's Incredibly easy questions. Options in incredibly easy questions were so easy and obvious. Even though I did not know much about the content, I was able to pick the right answer and this my friends gave me false hope that I was ready for NCLEX. In kaplan however, options are very similar to one another and tricky. NCLEX is similar to kaplan no doubt about it. Answers in NCLEX are not easy to pick at. All of them look similar. So if you practice Kaplan, you will be in a similar mind set that is needed to tackle NCLEX. However, I personally believe that you have to have a strong knowledge of contents. Every question you see in NCLEX or Kaplan are different. Sometimes, test taking strategies dont work either. So knowing your content is the sure way to pass.
