Kaplan college in San Diego RN program

Hi, I will be starting the RN program with Kaplan as soon as we relocate. My husband's in the Military so the wait lists at other colleges turned me away from them.

Do any of you go to Kaplan? If so, how did it work out for the student loans and stuff , I am confused. It seems as if tuition is around 45000 for the couple years of the program. I am eligible for the pell grant and the military grant of 3000 per year. But would the loans be able to cover everything else since it's a vocational school more than a traditional college? Thanks!

You have got to be kidding me!!!!! They had better NOT be still accepting applications! Like you said, why even have a deadline then! Yeah, they should at least call the people are are for sure not in. Just so we can move on with other opportunities! If they are still accepting things, then I wan to know so I can get them a letter of employment! I just got hired at Scripps and if that little paper could benefit me even slightly, then I want the opportunity to put it in there!!! Thanks for the update though:)

that's true, they should consider the ones who applied first and turned everything in before the deadline before accepting any applicants...so inconsiderate! this application is holding me back so much!

OMG! I spoke to my rep earlier this week she assured me she would let me know Thursday or Friday! I'm sooooo losing my patience right now.

I'm curious to see who's saying what:) hahaha Yeah, a weekend of no sleep and caffeine isn't going to be conducive to my sanity;) I can't believe that reps aren't even talking to the students now! i mean i guess i kind of understand it...look at us all...we're all a little crazy right now! hahahaha

well, i think them not answering calls is a bit unprofessional. we've been waiting this long the least they could to is inform us which is part of their job and not leaving us hanging like this, and the worst is they are still accepting applicants! we have done our part meeting the deadlines... i feel like they are taking us for granted!

Absolutely unprofessional. After all, the reason we're crazy is because we just want answers! I mean, hey, it's only potentially the rest of our LIFE they are messing with! I feel like a puppet....an impatient puppet. I really can't believe they would still be accepting applications. That would really put a sour taste in my mouth for Kaplan:(

I thought I just typed this and posted it, but I guess not. I emailed my rep about the possibility of still submitting a Letter Of Employment......doubt she's respond though. I did emphasize the fact the deadline has passed so maybe she will comment on that IF she decides to respond. I really like my rep and she's always been quick to get back to me on things...so fingers crossed!

that would be too funny. hahaha I bet they would be laughing soooo much (at most) of this stuff. we sound like a bunch of crazies on here freaking out. But dang it...this is a BIG DEAL! so if you're out there reps......have a heart:):redbeathe We just all wanna be a nurse :nurse: and this is what we look like right now to our families.....:banghead:
