Members are discussing receiving offer letters for various nursing positions at different medical centers in locations such as Anaheim, Woodland Hills, San Diego Medical Center, and West LA. Some members have received offers for Labor and Delivery (L&D) units, while others are still waiting to hear back about Medical Surgical (MedSurg) positions. There is also discussion about contacting HR for updates on offers, with some members experiencing delays in communication.
Starting a thread for those applying to KP So Cal for the August 2025 cohort.
The next info webinar will be on March 18th at 10am.
I'll be graduating in July. After talking to some of the recruiters I was told most likely I won't get picked because of the timeline. Your license has to be posted prior to the start date which is August 18th. But I will still try 🙃
I am an internal candidate, BSN applicant. Good luck to all!

im applying for the application coming up in May.
have you heard anything about the labor and delivery program?
Cover letter tip is to not just highlight your academic accomplishment, show how much you actually like patient care. Anyone can be trained to be a good nurse, if your personality is bad that's not something they can really train.
Sadly I don't know much about L & D, sorry, External posting starts on April 25th next week. It is highly recommended for you to have your ACLS and PALS, it'll also won't hurt if you have your NIHSS and Basic Dysrhythmia.
Jakelin21 said:Sorry don't mean to confuse anyone. Per the recruiter if you don't meet the required year of experience they say you can apply for new grad program/ TTP programs at Kaiser. If you fall under that it's better to apply for those programs
Hi! Yes! 100% correct. And remember that when they talk about experience as an RN they mean acute care. So if you work in an outpatient setting for example, it does not count against you.
My nurses tell me to go out and get a year of experience somewhere else if I want a specialty, and then apply that way. I got excited today when they said they were hiring for med onc, but they said their cut off date to take the NCLEX is in May. And I don't get to take it until July 😔 so I will sadly not apply for this cohort. But good luck to you all applying! Wish you the best!
Beethenurse said:So just to clarify... is the application period now or is it in May? I can't find the new grad position on the kp website.
Here's the internal posting. Originally the cohort was gonna be for August, but they changed it about 3 weeks ago and pushed the application this week instead of May.

Thank you for sending the link! I noticed it's for Anaheim.. will there be other postings for Riverside, Fontana or San Diego new grad program? Or is Anaheim the main one and we will get to select the specific area later?

Yes. Last cohort also had just Anaheim. In a couple of weeks you will get an email to pick your first and second choice for the hospital location.
Be mindful because if your first choice has even one spot open your application will stay there, your second choice will only be utilized if there is no slots.
