Members are discussing receiving offer letters for various nursing positions at different medical centers in locations such as Anaheim, Woodland Hills, San Diego Medical Center, and West LA. Some members have received offers for Labor and Delivery (L&D) units, while others are still waiting to hear back about Medical Surgical (MedSurg) positions. There is also discussion about contacting HR for updates on offers, with some members experiencing delays in communication.
Starting a thread for those applying to KP So Cal for the August 2025 cohort.
The next info webinar will be on March 18th at 10am.
I'll be graduating in July. After talking to some of the recruiters I was told most likely I won't get picked because of the timeline. Your license has to be posted prior to the start date which is August 18th. But I will still try 🙃
I am an internal candidate, BSN applicant. Good luck to all!

OMG thanks so much! I could cry right now! I was going to miss it completely 😞 . I was at work and had to mute it so many times. But the next sessions will be still next month? Bc I registered again for it and it let me.
Jakelin21 said:I know in the info meeting they mention resume less than 3 pages. They also mention the cover letter to be personalized. Does anyone have an example of what could go on there? I'm struggle with formatting that.
I think in one of the last webinars they said it should be also a one page document. And to think about it like your resume is your formal and your cover letter is like your "party". To make it professional, yet show your personality. I've only applied to UC and I did make a couple of letters, I tried to make them tailored to the departments that I applied, mainly oncology. Here's a screenshot of their tips. I think they are really good tips.
I'm just posting here for the folks for the next cohort, that is starting in a few months. Applications will open up next week, I'm currently on my 3rd week of the New Grad program for Kaiser, if you folks have questions, will do my best to help out. I don't believe in the saying that "Nurses eat their young", I believe in supporting and nurturing the next generation, so hopefully I can help somehow.

Virtual hug! ❤️ that's why you got hired! That's the culture 🫶🏽 we should all be that way! thanks! Will hopefully reach out and bother you with questions if selected to interview! Good luck in the program! It is an amazing place to work for! Currently working in the OR and hoping to get at least an interview to see if I get to stay as an RN

I do agree that it's a great place to work at, I was blown away with use of technology for patient care in my unit right now, and the new grad program really is off to a good start.
I highly recommend you to highlight your experience in the OR, in addition to try your best to really show how well you treat your patients.
Some hiring managers focus on the technical aspects of being a nurse, some focus on the costumer service part, do your best to stand out and be memorable. Current cohort had 1600 applicants, only 65 was picked. Feel free to send me a message if you have other specific questions.

This is so wildly different from what I got! I wonder why the different dates?
