Kaiser NorCal Nurse Residency Spring 2024 Cohort 8

Updated:   Published

Welcome to Cohort 8 forum! Creating this for all those interested in the Kaiser Nurse Residency for new grads.

I got no info on that except an estimated 100-150 total for all of NorCal. Varies from hospital to hospital and is not evenly distributed as far as I know! I should have asked for my area at the end of the interview but I blanked on that.

Thank you ! I am so nervous . I am a new grad and have no RN experience. Did they say how many people they are going to hire ?
I am being interviewed for Sacramento area .

I hope we all get in to the location it our choice!

Hi Everyone!

If anyone would like to practice their interview slide show let me know

Did anyone present their slides in less than 10 minutes? I timed mine and it is around seven minutes.

@sunny2 I did. Mine was at the 8 min mark. Honestly, I believe it's fine. As long as you don't go over 10 mins is what they ask since they are on a time crunch and they want everyone to be able to present and still have time left for Q&A.

@GRN89 what kind of questions they asked you ?

Hi everyone. I did my interview and honestly I didn't think I did well I was so nervous. I want to know if how many they are taking for Vacaville/vallejo and if you got to the interview , do they decline you? Or is this just a way to get to know you. Before they formally bring you on? Thank you

I am wondering the same thing. They didn't really inform us exactly how many for each locations. Not sure if anyone else might know more of a specific number. Only know that around 100-125 people for Norcal.

Please update if anyone have heard back since their interview so that we all can keep checking our emails LOL ? knowing that they are slowly responding back. Anyone else impatient or what?! Lmao

I thought they were conducting interviews throughout the rest of this month and then everyone starts to hear back by 12/7. Do you know of people already hearing back after interviews?

In my interview we were told that we would hear back anytime from when the interview was over until 12/7..... so maybe depending on when your medical center is done interviewing it could be earlier maybe.

Our interviews for our facility are done and we should be hearing back 12/7 but since it was like two days with a total of 12 people for both days, curious if everyone is accepted ? I was reading an old post from 2021 if you got to the interview you were accepted already they just want to see where to put you based on your knowledge. So if anyone has any idea is that is true that would be nice to know I could not sleep last night LOL
