Just took the nclex today and tried to do the PVT and i got the hold popup. I was looking through allnurses to see why i might be on hold, and i discovered that you aren't allowed to write any info before the tutorial and i did write a little bit hellp! It was my second time taking the nclex and its been about 3 months. I was never given the rules when I tested and not told not to write before the tutorial. Anyone has any info as to what will happen?

You will just have to wait and see. The testing center gives you a paper to read prior to the test and it specifically states no brain dumping and not to write anything until the test has begun.
Good luck!

@anxioustotest, you stated that this was your second time taking the nclex examination. I'm sorry that this has happen to you, though I'm a little confused as to why you did not receive the rules and guidelines for your second time taking the nclex examination. When you took the nclex the "first time," were you provided with the rules and guidelines prior to taking the test? The nclex rules and guidelines would not change as it pertains to "brain dumping" prior to the first question on the exam. Do you know why the testing site didn't give you the rules and guidelines?
Try to keep your head up!

No and I didn't even think about it I was so anxious for the test. And also I didn't write a lot of stuff only some lab values that I never looked at. And yes I did get the rules the first time, but that was so long ago! Would they expect me to remember that. Omg I'm freaking out. I think I will call them tomorrow morning.
Also I took my last nclex actually in August 2012
And actually the last time I tested was in August 2012

If I remember correctly they even mention during the tutorial before the test that you are not allowed to write down anything before the exam actually starts. Well, I hope it still works out for you. Good luck and please let us know what happened.
