  1. @bored soul, I received you PM in my inbox. I inboxed you back.
  2. Believe in yourself! If you are a believer- don't pray for the exam to shut off at 75 questions, pray for endurance to sit there and answer the questions right/critically. God will do the rest! Praying for the exam to shut off at 75.......your prayer might just be answered but, without a pass. When you feel anxiety kicking in or taking over......raise your hand and wait for someone to come and give you permission to take a break......"go take a break." Go regroup and tell yourself; "I can pass this exam, and I will pass this exam!" This is the best advise I can give you. God's Blessings!
  3. @ProfRN4...if you knew that it sounded harsh....why did you say it! Cruel!
  4. I hope I interpreted your post correctly. I will say this to you....please be there for her in anyway possible. You cannot begin to imagine the pain that she is emotionally going through. Give her all the encouragement that you can give her.....trust me she needs it. According to your statement, I think it's safe to say that you are a Christian- pray for her, tell her to dig deep inside herself, tell her not to look at and allow her past 5 attempts to hinder her "Next Attempt." Also, tell her to study this time around as if this is her 1st time studying and tell her she can and will pass in God's time and with her putting the work into it! As for you, let her determination not to give up be an example and your own determination to be successful when it's your time. Remember......she needs you to be whatever you can be to her during this trying time. I've been in her shoes. God's Blessing to you both.
  5. @anxioustotest, you stated that this was your second time taking the nclex examination. I'm sorry that this has happen to you, though I'm a little confused as to why you did not receive the rules and guidelines for your second time taking the nclex examination. When you took the nclex the "first time," were you provided with the rules and guidelines prior to taking the test? The nclex rules and guidelines would not change as it pertains to "brain dumping" prior to the first question on the exam. Do you know why the testing site didn't give you the rules and guidelines? Try to keep your head up!
  6. @nycnursing........Easily said than done- but try and relax! If you can.....relax the day before your exam and do nothing that pertains to the exam. Try very hard not study before the exam!! If for some reason you find this difficult to do....stop studying around 5:00 p.m. the day before your exam. Try to think peaceful thoughts! Tell yourself that you are going to pass the nclex! Tell yourself that you can do this and I'm going to do this! Exam day- if you take your mobile phone turn it off as soon as you enter the front doors of the building and put the phone in your purse! Do not turn it back on until you have completed the exam and left out of the building. Do not take any study notes, books, or materials! You do not want to be tempted to do anything that could possibly jeopardize your exam! Don't forget your licenses, ATT, and some healthy snacks and water in case you have to take a longer exam. Stay focus and if you seem to be getting side track or have any negative thoughts, raise your hand and take a break to regroup! Last but not least- "for me," the questions was not the problem. It was the answer choices! Knowing how to dissect the answer choices was challenging! I hope that this helps you in some way! God's blessing to you!
  7. @ purpleandgoldblood........what Sassy5d posted is very true! Especially: Third, make sure you have a confident understanding of stable vs unstable and priority. Even if the questions are being asked in a different language.. with diseases that you've never heard of, or a med that you are going to guess on, do you have the ability to determine what takes priority? Again, there are a lot of distractions used to throw you off the "path", can you decipher what is "blowing smoke" and what is right?
  8. @ Missy8....check your inbox!
  9. Doing 100 questions in one sitting is hard.....but I finished!
  10. @ natalciapl.....at this point, reviewing all your school books may just slow you down. I would possibly only use my school books for referencing as needed. I would use Saunders and exam cram at this point. Your Nclex is just around the corner. Also, I don't know how long you have being study for your exam; however, do as many questions as possible! I say this because......per your post; your Nclex is July 14th. This is just "my opinion."
  11. @ abasima23.....how is the studying going?
  12. Ok....I slacked today, I only did 50 questions. I'm not feeling my best today. It's 7:23 p.m. in my time zone and I'm ready to go to bed!!! lol! However, I do need to push my self to do 50 more!
