IV splashed into eye
As I was disconnecting a patients IV, the NS from the IV line splashed into my eye (I forgot to clamp the line). I flushed my eye out with NS but did NOT report to employee health because it was just the fluid that got into my eye and not any blood/body fluids. I guess I'm just looking for some reassurance into what I did. Was this a bad move? Should I report this to employee health asap? Should I be worried that I caught something? The patient is HIV negative, Hep C negative. What are the chances that there was any kind of pathogen in the fluids? Any kind of feedback would be appreciated.

Kaplan qbank info tested on nclex ?
Absolutely! Because I understood rationales I was able to automatically eliminate certain options during the exam. Kaplan definitely prepares you!

Took the NCLEX today...i feel like i failed!
Did the trick and got the good pop up! But I'm still very nervous. How accurate is the trick? Ugh I'm so nervous won't feel good until I see the official results. The quotation questions were like which one about certain drug/condition true or false.

Took the NCLEX today...i feel like i failed!
I also had a lot of questions that were in quotation marks. Is that a good sign? Would they keep giving me sata questions if I wasnt getting them right?

Took the NCLEX today...i feel like i failed!
Thank you so much for your feedback. I studied using Kaplan and a little bit of hurst. I felt like the questions weren't as difficult as Kaplan but they weren't so straight out easy either. I was always stuck between two answers but I don't feel confident. I'm so nervous!!

Took the NCLEX today...i feel like i failed!
Just took the NCLEX this morning. I'm so nervous because I think I failed. I had 75 questions a TON is SATA, some infection control, 2 med questions and the rest seems like a blur. When it shut off I felt like I wanted to do more questions so I can prove myself some more. I'm so nervous and am too chicken to do the Pearson trick. encouragement would be great right now

Hurst Review vs. Kaplan
Tazgirl76-I've taken both Hurst and Kaplan. I found that Hurst was very helpful for learning content but there is a lot of information that they do not cover(pharmacology). I felt that doing questions and reading rationales through Kaplan I learned more. Also if you take Kaplan there is a course book that they give you which is very helpful. Kaplan also has content review videos which were great. Taking my exam in 2 days I'll let you know which one I felt was better!

What to do on the day of the exam
Thanks for your input Anne36=) I'm planning on taking public transportation to the testing center so I don't think I'll be bringing any notes with me because it's not allowed. I'm surprised they let you take it earlier-maybe I'll have the same luck!

What to do on the day of the exam
Hey all-so I'm taking my exam on August 1st. I have debated about pushing my date forward but always chicken out. I was hoping some people that have taken the exam can write what they did the day of their exam. I'm taking mine bright and early at 8am. Also what did you bring to the exam? For example I know I need to bring my drivers license and ATT. But what else? Can I bring my iphone with me? Can I bring my ipad(for the train ride home)? Also how do breaks work? Can I take a break at any time? And what time do you suggest I get there? I know they tell you to be there an extra 30 minutes earlier for the whole process but I like to be extra early so can I come at 7? My nerves are eating me alive! I can't wait to just get this over with!

NCLEX RN August 1st!!!
Hey everyone! Just wanted to say how amazing allnurses is. Whenever I freak out about taking the NCLEX I come back to this site and put myself at ease. I graduated in May and am taking my exam on August 1st! There are times when I am confident and know I can do it but other times I freak out!! I have been studying everyday using Kaplan. I am taking question trainer 6 tomorrow and am very worried about it because I have been told QT6&7 are the closest thing to the real NCLEX. I have been scoring in the 60s-70s on the qbanks. My QT scores so far are: 1. 49.3% (bad day and i rushed through them) 2. 70.7 3. 59.0 4. 58.7 5. 58 I'm a bit nervous because these scores are in the high 50s but people that have passed the NCLEX with 75 questions usually scores in the 60s. I'm staying positive though and studying hard! Any kind of advice, encouragement or tips that you can share would be greatly appreciated! I cannot wait to get this test over with and be an RN!!!!
