Just took my NCLEX today and shutoff at 75 : (

:confused:I am so freaked out!! I took my NCLEX this morning and it shut off at 75!! I felt like puking after it shut off. I am almost sure that I failed. That is the worst test I have taken in my LIFE! I had most questions narrowed down to two choices. I am totally freaked out, had a horrible headache after leaving and my heart was pounding during the test. I can't believe I have to wait 2-4 weeks. I'm going crazy already. I'm already thinking that I need to start studying again. :crying2:

Okay why is everyone asking me that? Am I misinformed? We don't have quick results in California and the pamphlet they gave us said 2-4 weeks we would get our results? I even asked them too! My friend also asked them and they also said 2-4 weeks. Confused!! :) I am really dying to know. lol

Thanks, Kamie

Foreign trained?? I took school here (California), I actually haven't even been to another country in my life. Why did they tell me it takes 2-4 weeks for results? Is it supposed to be sooner? :uhoh21:

Thanks so much,

Kamie

If trained in the US and have a SSN then you usually see name on Ca website between 3-10 days if taken the RN exam, may be longer if there is a problem with your file. If you haven't received any results in 2 weeks contact BRN and check your file is OK Slightly different with PN and takes approx 4 weeks and then you pay for license so name will not appear on website for approx 4-6 weeks. Foreign trained nurses with no SSN have to wait for snail mail and will not see name on website or have a license issued until they provide a SSN. We have a sticky that explains how Ca works check it out

Hope that makes things a bit clearer for you

me too!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, I just taken boards myself and passed, stay positive, it's ok to have mixed emotions about the exam. It could be you answered as many as you needed corrret to pass so it shut off. It's not a given you failed. I'm not sure if this works the same everywhere, but if so, you can go unto the pearson vue website and get your results 48 hours after you test. It cost about 8.00 but it's worth it. The day I went to test I was given a brochure that had the website. Best of luck to you!!

Until you get your results I would just forget about the exam. I know it is hard but the exam is done with and stressing isn't going to change anything and most if not all feel like you do when leaving the exam.

The only reason I can think you have to wait so long is foreign trained nurse with no SSN so hang in there and Good luck

You're right...its just that..the feeling you get after taking the exam is so...overwhelming...i actually cried for hours after i took mine...ugh...its a totally not so good experience...
