Just took Nclex...

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

So here is my story. I took the nclex yesterday for the SECOND time. I finishsed school almost 2 years ago. When I finished, there was lots of BS between the school messing up sending transcripts and the board not recieving transcripts. So it took 8 entire months after I finished the LVN program before I was even able to schedule my Nclex. I didnt study and felt like I forgot the material, I took my first Nclex over a year out of school, did about 2 weeks of studying, and averaged 40-50% on my practice tests. I failed with 205 questions. The test was HARD. I was not ready for it at all, I had no idea it would be so specific and so much priority.

I took my first nclex in June 2011 and just took my second nclex yesterday. I got laid off in November and after messing around until mid December. I made it a mission to do nothing but study and give it my 100%. After about 2 months of 2-3 hours a day of studying, reading the entire textbook from front to back, doing 100-250 questions a day for the last 3 weeks, and averaging 60-70% on all my practice tests. I felt ready to take the nclex.

I finished at 85 questions and the test was SO much different from the first time. Almost no questions on diseases, only one math question, nothing on Eriksons or Maslow. I studied the hell out of everything except the beginning of my textbook which was legal issues and teaching. Well it seemed like I got 30 questions on Legal issues. The legal issues werent really hard, just tricky. The rest of the test I felt like I breezed through it, I was done in about an hour. I checked the Pearson Vue site and..

I got the good popup!

Hopefully the popup trick still works. If anyone has any questions about the nclex I would be happy to answer.
