Just Took the NCLEX

Published

I just graduated a few weeks ago and I just took the NCLEX in California a couple days ago. I know people say you aren't supposed to feel good about your chances after the test but I had to answer all 265 questions. I am wondering if anyone has an idea what my chances are since I had to answer all the questions. I don't really understand how they score the test so I don't know if I still have a decent chance of passing or what. Thanks for the input everybody. Thanks again.

Number of questions means absolutely nothing in determining if you passed or did not pass.

Getting many priority questions is a good thing, but other than that, you are going to have to wait until you see your name posted or get the envelope from the BRN.

There are quite a few that passed with 265, and there are also a fair amount that did not pass with 75.

Good luck................:balloons:

Is there somewhere on the board's website I can look to see if I passed? I heard you can look up a list or nurses or something and see if your name is on there before they mail you a letter. I hear the letter can take up to a month or so. Thanks for the help, and sorry, I'm new to the site, I'll learn the rules. Thanks again!!

I am from Maine and looked it up on the BON and it listed me and thats how I knew I passed.............Good Luck!

Good luck. Don't fret over the number of questions. It's only the number of questions.

As I understand California doesn't use a quick response system and it takes a while, but someone from California can explain it better.

i took my test this wednesday and i still dont see my name on the website...im now scared that i did not pass my test...how long does it usually take for your name to be posted...im from california...i had 79 quest, and i know for sure i got the last quest wrong:(

I'm not sure about California, but in Texas the Board posts names on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. So if you took your boards on Wednesday it wouldn't show up until the following Tuesday. That was what happened to me when I took my LVN boards. Maybe someone from CA knows how and when the BON posts there.

i just passed an application form in pearsonvue and pay the fee.. and in the letter they sent me.. it was stated that i should also pass a application form to the BON of the state that im seeking licensure... im try to have a license in california.. what should be my next action? thanks in advance!!!
