Just took NCLEX for the second time. It ended at 230 questions.

Nursing Students NCLEX

So scared that I have failed NCLEX again. I was in there for almost 6 hours and did 230 questions. Have I failed? :((

did you try the pearson vue trick? it works

I hope everything goes well for you. If not, take a break and start studying again. Don't NEVER give-up on your dream.

The number of questions is irrelevant for a pass/fail...meaning...you can pass or fail with 75, 100, 163 questions or 265 questions. For a more detailed explanation on CAT system here's a link https://www.ncsbn.org/1216.htm.

Have you tried the PVT trick?

Go here: https://www.nursys.com/ click on "licensure quick confirm" and type in your information. If it finds you, then you passed and have a license :) I know a few new grads who did this about 24-48hrs after taking their NCLEX.

Well I just did the Pearsonvue trick and the nursys trick and it looks like I am going to he taking the NCLEX for a third time. Kinda sad and frustrated because I felt much more ready this time and its expensive to take the test. Anyone have any advice on how they studied and what they used? I recently just got the lacharity delegation/priority book, I have NCLEX 4000, and done ATI books. How many hours per day would you recommend studying? Thank you for all the help :)

Sorry to hear that. Don't give up. Take a week or so off from studying and reassess your strengths and weaknesses. PDA is an excellent resource for critical thinking and delegation.

Here's what I did a few months back: I completed multiple diagnostic pre-tests (minimum of 125 questions) on ALL client needs categories using NCLEX 3500, NCLEX 4000, NCLEX 10,000, MaryAnn Hogan, Saunders and compared results from each one. From here I was able to identify my strongest area as Infection Control and definitely needed to focus my review on Cardio, Endo, and Pharma.

You graduated from nursing school and that's really the biggest hurdle you've overcome. WE CAN CONQUER the NCLEX RN! Good luck to us all!

Hi Scm0831,

The first time I took NCLEX, I didnt really studied much because I only did VATI questions and read their powerpoints. Big mistake. I studied 3 hours a day, Mon - Fri and weekends.

I failed first time getting the full 205 questions LVN. I used VATI only.

Second time I studied 5 hours a day Monday - Friday. NO weekends.

I took it the second time and passed with 87 question.

I read the saundars book 3 times entire book! I used Kaplan and NCSBN for the second time taking NCLEX.

I also read the 35 pages that was provided to me thru this website. Its very helpful. I read and studied all 35 pages, too.

Good luck to you.
