How traumatic! I know everyone walks out of there and feels like they failed but it is such a terrible feeling not knowing! I was there a little less than 2 hours. My exam shut off at 75 questions, which I was praying for up until actually talking the test when I felt like I was getting every single one wrong. I had about 50-55 select all that apply questions and about 5 drag and drop questions. I am terrible at select all that apply as well! Of course, when I look up questions I kept finding ones that I got wrong, so I told myself to stop doing that. I'm trying to constantly remind myself that the purpose of the NCLEX is to find the point where you get 50% right and 50% wrong. Keeping my fingers crossed and praying! I know everyone that takes the NCLEX feels exactly the same way!

It sounds like you already know the answers--yes! Extremely traumatic! I felt like I got zero correct and I passed. Everyone does indeed feel that they failed. It's an awful feeling and I for one sympathize with you.
If your state participates in quick results, you will know in two days maximum. What you may not know is that some BONs update more quickly than that. I saw one post here (Can't remember what state) that said their license appeared on the BON within 4 hours. I suggest you start checking your BON online now and keep checking several times a day, you may not have to wait the freakishly long 48 hours. But keep in mind some take weeks to post so if you don't see your name, don't let it freak you out.
Best of luck and let us know how you did!

What you are feeling (post NCLEX) is normal. Hard to gauge the test and how well you did. I felt the same way. Hopefully, you hear soon. Go try to relax. Holding good thoughts for you and hope you passed. Keep us posted.

Because the test is designed to find your limits, it's normal to feel like you failed, even if you haven't. Take a while to breathe, de-stress and go do something fun! You're not going to change the results and even if you feel so inclined to do the "new" PVT, don't do it now. Wait until tomorrow afternoon and be committed to spending another $200 and retaking the exam if you have failed. If your state participates in Quick Results (most do) your best (and cheapest/least risky) option is to pay the $8 for the quick results in 48 hours.
In the meantime, you might want to keep an occasional eye on Nursys or your State's BON for license numbers to popup. Only a couple states don't actively participate in Nursys...
Thanks guys! I know I'm having trouble relaxing. I know there is nothing I can do now. Just anxious because I keep remembering questions, looking them up, and seeing that I got them wrong. AHHHHH!
We are expected to miss half of them! Stop doing this, you will drive yourself nuts. Go out and do something fun that you didn't have time to do while you were studying and keep checking the BON

Try to do something that will get your mind off the test for a while. I am praying you get to put RN behind your name in a few days! Good luck!
Thank you for your confidence and support! I had planned on going out for dinner and drinks afterward, but yesterday I came down with a sore throat and earache, so I've been resting since I got home today. Perfect timing right! =[ =P

ughhhhhhh I took my test today too! I had 17 SATA, 1 picture and 1 drag and drop.. After the test didn't stop at 75, I was like ok if I have to go to 265 bring it on. I think my test cut off at 80 something! I'm freaking out because I don't know if I failed horrible or passed... The agony of waiting is killing me:(.... Praying that I passed!! SATA are a good sign or no??
No, many people say select all that apply are a sign of passing level questions, but it's not true. Many people pass at 75 with minimal SATA questions. I just don't think it's fair that some people, like me, get 50-55 SATA for a 75 question test while others get 5-10. Those are my weakness! I'm trying to tell myself that I passed, because if it shut off at 75 and I failed, I must have done horrible. I did well with Kaplan and on my last trainers. I did all the Qbank, but was not prepared for that many SATA!
According to the link on the FL BON site for exam grades I passed. Still no license yet and I can't confirm with Pearson until 48 hours. Let's hope my license posts later today!!! Eek!

Good luck! I thought I had a lot of SATA with 31, but 50-something is crazy! USF had a 92% pass rate, so I'm sure you did well (I just graduated from USF this August, maybe we had classes together). Mine cut off @ 75, and I have an RN license now (I didn't sit for FL). I thought NCLEX was easier than the Kaplan trainers and review class. I walked out of NCLEX feeling good about it.
