Just took NCLEX PN and got 205 questions with a lot of SATA. What are my chances?

So i just took my NCLEX PN on 2/16/15 and I literally had anywhere from 50-60 SATA in my first 85 and i had to have ended up with 100+ SATA. My test consisted of mostly SATA, which pt to see first, and delegation. I was told that the more SATA that you receive, the better you are doing because the more challenging the test is getting. I don't see why mine wouldn't have shut off at 85. My professor told our class a while ago that at least one person in the room will receive the 205. I felt like i knew the majority of the material. I'm hoping that I was just that lucky tester if that is true. I spoke with some fellow classmates that took the test already and they all said that their's ended at 85. I felt like I was a competent nurse and I never had any complaints during nursing school, and I had passing scores on the majority of the tests. My ATI NCLEX predictor at the end of the semester said that I had a 99% of passing before really studying for the exam. I'm panicking here people!!! Give me some advice please!

When you get more than the minimum questions it just means that the computer can't decide whether you are a fail or a pass and will keep on going until it can make that decision. You can pass or fail with any number between minimum and maximum and see people post to confirm it doesn't matter what you get.

Good luck

I don't want to upset you, but I also don't want you to suffer needlessly: absolutely nothing of what you wrote is indicative of anything whatsoever, pass or fail.

SATA questions are merely an alternative format; they can be above the passing standard or below it. People have tests that include many SATA or very few; their results have no correlation to the number they received.

If you demonstrated by the end of the exam, to a 95% certainty that you were above the passing standard, then you will have passed the test. Below it....and you will have failed.

NONE of the rest of it matters at all. Good luck!

Not all SATA are above passing questions. I passed my NCLEX RN with few SATA questions.

Good luck :)
