Just took the NCLEX for the first time!!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Welllllll I just got back from taking the NCLEX for the first time, and I really have NO idea what to think. I'm so scared of failing. :o I had a lot of SATA, priority, delegation, NO math, a couple OB, a lot of infection control...and 75 questions. And the scary part is I finished in LESS than an hour. Now I'm worrying about did I go too fast or what?? I just felt like either I know it or I don't. And surprisingly, I knew all but one of the meds they threw at me (which meds are my weak point). My computer shut off at 75 (I was praying for less than 200 questions), and I just had NO idea what to think. I'm SO scared...waiting to try the Pearson Vue "trick," but it's still "waiting for delivery."

Another girl in my class tested the same time and had 75 questions and finished around when I did, but she said she only had TWO SATA and a couple math questions that she think she got wrong. Did anyone else test today that would like to share some anxiety?? :uhoh3:

And to think, I prepared myself for 265 questions with a TON of snacks and a drink...

:yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah: Happy for you:yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah:

Please post under this same link when you get your final results. I will do the same...I AM PRAYING...and honestly all my tears are gone. I couldn't cry anymore today if I tried. :cry::cry::cry::cry:

I will post here when I get official results...I plan on doing the quick results here, because I can't wait! Try not to be TOO upset--I've heard that almost everyone feels like they did horrible walking out. And I have yet to see the "trick" give a false result. Good luck and feel better!! :heartbeat

Thanks for your positive thoughts. I am praying...God I need to have that RN label...for my family, friends and most of all ME. I will go from about 28.80 an hour (cause i work nights) to 12.00 if I don't pass. So unfair to wait.

Good luck for you and God bless if you pass. What type of Med questions you guys get from the Nclex? just wandering if i need to review the conversion

I took my test today for the third time!! Got 117 questions and nervous to look at the trick!! AWW.

I am like the OP, I took my boards today and got tons of SATA, one med calc question which was fill in the blank, tons of meds, mostly ones I knew, a couple I have never seen before, tons of delegation, infection control, and priorization. I had two questions that were similar in wording, but I KNEW the answers to those questions because I really studied that classification of drugs and knew it like the back of my hand.

I finished in 2 hours and that was taking my time. I did Kaplan and found a few of the questions on NCLEX very similiar to some of the questions in Kaplan. I also found alot of the questions "easier" than Kaplan. I got 75 questions.

I left with mixed feelings. For one, I was told if the questions were considered "easy" that means you are testing at a very low level and you have failed. Then I felt nausea.

I went and got my eyebrows waxed and decided to wait around to do the Pearson trick. I did it after it said delivery successful and got the pop up screen.

I will not celebrate until I get my quick results just to be on the safe side. For now, it relieves alot of anxiety. Also, I have an interview in the morning for an ICU position in a Level I trauma center and I'm praying to God that I get the job. I will say I didnt do this alone. This was all God's doing. He is merely using me.

Good luck to all who is taking NCLEX in the upcoming months!
