Just took the nclex, damn was it hard?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

hey allnurses, i just took the nclex. It shut me off at 75 question! Damn was it confusing, so it was vague, questions were definitly really short not like uworld. Seemed like it went straight to the point. I did the "PVT" and used my real cc information. Got the good pop up, and still in disbelief. Now, i don't wanna go too much in detail but man, i felt like it was hard and easy at the same time.

Here are my scores, during nursing school, we did hesi, got 80% conversion score

During uworld, got 61.6% overall

1 assessment got 73% at 94th percentile

2nd assessment got 70% and 91st percentile overall.

I also used lacharity, did up to 19 chapters with and overall of 60 percent (im guessing)

guys the nclex was alot different from these resources. It was hard to me because it was vague. I hope i had passed because all of my classmates who had passed, did the pvt and it was accurate for them. Stay strong ya'll it was a hard test but easy at the same time. in the end, i came out feeling defeated like most nclex takers. I still feel like i failed so i am assuming that i failed until i see my results. Should i celebrate now? Or wait till i know i passed?

Nclex is our last hurdle to become Rn, good luck!

How did you prepared? I'm taking mine next Monday.

uworld, lacharity. Good luck!

Congratulations and Good Luck. Hope you made it through. I had 114?? 23 SATA food with calcium other than dairy products. Conference questions, 3 meds that I've never heard of and the ending said nothing to me. I know that God can work in supernatural way, but I don't know why I have this knot in my stomach. I did the trick it wouldn't go through when I change the security code. I tried a closed acct, after I hit submit, it asked me to enter a new card.[/quote']

if you would like to do the PVT, i would suggest going to walmart, get one of those prefilled cards, put in like 2 dollars and try it that way. I have read some people have done it and it worked for them, as for me I entered all the correct info. Luckily it didn't my payment because im broke.

My friend gave me her login info for Uworld so I could atleast use it for the questions/rationales, but I don't have access to any of the self assessments and I can't track my "overall" status. I've def done hundreds of questions though, and I also used Kaplan (not completely, but a good chunk) and my diagnostic and readiness scores on there was pretty good, so I think (hope!) I'll be OK! I'll def be using meditation imagery of dancing wine bottles to relax me during the exam HAHA.

Good luck, so my school has a pass rate of 80 percent for first time nclex takers. I know of 7 whom passed so far. One failed. Also the passing rate is really high for 1st time nclex takers according to ncsbn website. Keep us updated

I already have a knot in my stomach. You already passed in the name of Jesus! What do you mean conference questions?

Conference?? is one that includes both content, assessment and prioritization knowledge, for example a nurse may have a conference with other nurses on the unit about a disease and they ask you what must you include in the teaching? So you have to know the disease process, know what is expected, and what must you do if this and that arise. I hope I answered your question.

Oh ok, thanks a lot!

Yes, NCLEX makes you feel very strange and defeated afterwards. And it is definitely a strange exam. Well, sounds like you passed Congrats! :)

I think you passed, congrats. I am definitely set on using Uworld next year. Going into my third semester.

good call, i wished i used it during nursing school, it really helps. I got it during my last semester and used the psych portion. It helped me pass the class. Good luck

I took NCLEX yesterday and it shut me off at 90 questions. 50% were SATA. I still don't know if I passed. But can you fail if you had more than 75 questions?

No, you can pass or still fail at any given number above minimum.
