Check out our NCLEX Discussion Forum. 'How do I get my results?' is one of the most commonly discussed items.

Some states participate in Quick Results, which allow you to check the Pearson VUE website 48 hours after your exam. Other states post the results quickly (or not so quickly) to their BON websites. Sometimes some BON's will let you know over the phone after a certain amount of time. Some unfortunate people have to wait to receive their licenses in the mail.

I'm from Canada and I did my exam on june 7th they are slow. I find that it's cruel to make us wait like that. I called yesterday and they told me another 2-3 weeks before receiving our results. I'm loosing it.

I just took the boards yesterday and was wondering how soon other people found out their results and how they felt about the test.

It took me about 72 hours to find out my results. I don't know where you live or how your state board is set up but take a look at your state board site. If you have a link to verify licensces click on that and enter you name. It will either come back with a licensce number or a statement ststing something with regards of "testing pending".

Im taking my boards next month and i have to dread on waiting for my results again!!! this is my 3rd time to take it.. its so sad.!!! i need advicces on what to do if anyone else is feeling the same way. i feel so strange and worthless but im glad that there is this forum becuase i know i am not the only that feels this way. good luck!

I took my boards last Friday and I found out on Monday that I passed!!! Its an awful wait hope you find out soon!!!

If only every state participated in the quick results thing. Suffering 48 hours is long enough. I'm sure I could think of a few nursing diagnoses to describe my current condition. UGH!

I took my NCLEX-PN in Texas, but it was for my California license. Since California does not participate in the 48-hour quick results, I had to wait an agonizing 12 days for my passing result. I walked out of the test center feeling quite confident and about 75 percent sure that I had aced it. I believed I prepared well for the exam.

Found out in 48 hours via telephone, and I thought it was the strangest exam I have ever taken. Left there pissed because they didn't touch on any of the things that we were pounded on the head about in school, but I passed at 85.

Hello TheCommuter;

I have a question for you; you mentioned that you took your exam in Texas but it was for California, and you received your results in 12 days. Did you receive your results that quickly because you tested in another state? I ask this because I heard that California makes you wait about a month. I had a friend that is in California that told me she is willing to take her exam in another state if she can avoid the long wait.

21 years ago when I took my state board test ... everyone was in a "barn" at the state fair grounds. one minute late and you couldn't test... 6-8 weekslater was when I found out that I had passed. though at that time you could work as an LPN with a temporary liscense. :monkeydance:
