Just passed at 130 (max due to covid) Pearson Vue Trick didn’t work.

Hey everyone, I want to share my story because some of you may be in the same situation. I took the NCLEX with the new COVID rules: 60 questions min, 130 max. After 60 questions, the test kept going. It went all the way to 130 questions. When I got home, I received the email from Pearson, waited an hour, and tried the Pearson Vue Trick. I got the bad pop up message in which the site allowed me to register for another exam. I tried the trick several hours later and got the bad pop up again. I was devastated. Two days later, I got the Quick Results and found out that I had actually passed. Apparently, there is a gray area for the Pearson Vue Trick: if you take the exam and make it all the way to the end, the trick may not be accurate. It wasn’t accurate for me. If you’re in the same situation, keep your head up. All is not lost.

Also, my state board did not post my license number before my quick results were available. I understand it’s cheaper, quicker, and more accurate to check your license status on the state board, but this is why I did not do so.

I’m sorry to hear that you did not pass the NCLEX. I know it’s a bummer to have to study all over again. My advice would be to utilize multiple resources: Saunders Guide, ATI questions, UWorld, etc. Don’t just rely on one method - make sure to use at least two.

To clarify about the Pearson Vue Trick: apparently, it is mostly accurate if you get 60 questions. However, there is one gray area in which the Trick may not work, and it did not work for me: when you get the entire exam (either 130 questions for me due to COVID exam changes, or 265 questions when the exam goes back to normal in July 2020). I’m not sure why this is the one situation that may or may not work, but from what I’ve read and from what happened to me - this is the only situation in which you can’t always trust the Trick.

What if you get the good pop up first then the bad pop up ? Has anyone seen this happen

I took mines today it shut off at 60 I got the good pop up then did it again it wanted me to register again it’s weird IDK how to feel

I took the test today had the whole 130 due too covid 19 and got the bad pop up so I’m hoping that in 48hrs I will get a passing score.

I did Kaplan and got a readiness score of 63% which I was told that’s a 92% chance of passing but after leaving I feel like I put so much work in and I still failed. I just knew I was going to pass my second time around.

I’m going too keep my faith and if I do not pass I will continue too study and take it again in 45 days this would be a third try for me

How many SATA , drag and drop and math did you half. What kind of NCLEX did you think you had..

If you look at my original post (2nd time test taker )..I thought I failed also... Also read what I did to pass the second time

Plus someone said on Reddit that PVT doesn't work if you had to take 130

Hey my love! I have been following your story! I’m happy that you reply to my comment.

So my first test was OB PEDs and endocrine I ran out of time at 198 I’m sure it (NCLEX) was going to take me to the end 265 but time was not on my side

This test I got the whole test like I said above I had 20 SATA 4-5 drag and drop and only one math

This test was full of meds to me but that might be due to the fact that I had meds that was kinda like WOW! to me LOL

This test seem to be more simpler and I could tell when it was becoming too simple and that’s when I knew I was going under the “passing line”

I did read your 2nd time test taker post and I have the books that you have DPA but never opened it, my kids are home due to covid-19 so my days are truly busy. Therefore I just put my focus on Kaplan and there qbank. If I did not pass then I will open that book up and dive deep into it like you did.

I also did see that the PVT do not work on those whom took the whole test so I am truly praying that this is true. I’m in Ohio so results at times pop up kinda fast put who truly knows, and did you do the PVT? Or did you just wait for you quick results?

No refused to do quick results ..no need to pay 8$ to see if I failed faster . we are fast here in Texas with the results . yeah I took the test wed both.times at like 12 and the fail letter came Monday (post marked that last Fri)

The second time website was updated the same Friday with my license number and the official pass letter came the next Fri

Let us know what happens. You can also tell if you failed if your temp.license is removed from the state website and your if your NCLEX info is still on the websites

My last question was a: an RN is doing a inservice on (IDK the topic) what should be included. When I got to the 100th question I had an hr to go so I took my time on the last 30.

IDK if you seen the last part I just posted above but I was like hell IDK if that was even a passing level question.

OK I just truly hope that I passed but my heart is hurting but third time is the charm I guess LOL

Sorry, But seriously from this moment forward you need to quit checking message boards, turn off the TV, turn off facebook and Instagram until you take your test. You need to be doing NCLEX 8-5pm m-f and testing sat and Sunday.

And you need to be reviewing your answers from previous day's from 6-10p before you go to bed.

I don't know about you but I said I wasn't taking that test over again . That's too much money to be giving away. Plus I didn't want to take it over again with the old rules in July..hopefully you can take it under the news rules

Hello, I am experiencing the same as you! ?? For the official results on Monday. Any advice? I am upset of course seeing a bad pop up. I had a lot of SATA. No dosage.
