Just found out I failed NCLEX for the third time! Help!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I took the NCLEX for the third time on May 6 and today found out that I did not pass once again. To say I am devastated is an understatement. I have done Kaplan three times now, HURST, read the entire Saunders book, and most recently had a tutor. I feel like I have exhausted all my options which leaves me feeling hopeless and I don't know what to do next. I wont allow myself to give up. I know that I am going to a good nurse but right now I don't know what to do. I would love to hear from others who have failed or those who have some suggestions for me!

Yes....your right ! I was curious because I haven't reached mastery level 8 but just on a few categories, but when I took the practice nclex test that they have I have passed them all, above the halfway mark so that's why I was asking was the trial "easier"

hey I just passed after having failed read my post darien about NCSBN and how it worked wonders for me Kaplan question are great but not good review course. Your problem is you are using Kaplan strategies for every question and quite frankly they don't apply to every question. You obviously have the money you did Kaplan 3 times buy NCSBN they write the test.

NCSB write the NCLEX. Their questions are the same format as nclex. No difference

Read the KAPLAN NCLEX RN strategies, practice, and review book. It teaches you how to approach the Questions. Saunders Is Good for Content. Also Use ALL Resources for Questions! #Blessings :)

Hi, you have to read my post darien for I have failed as well, then passed with 75 questions. Just by working my but off and a planned schedule. And just by sticky to a strict plan for 2 to 3 months I know that seems like a long time, but it will go by fast. Your problem is not content seeing that you achieved mastery level 8 on Lippincott. You just have to understand what you are reading. If you know anyone who went to the same test center as you see if they remember any of there questions, who knows you may see them on your exam I had about 5 verbatim questions from other test takers from that same center. Because they re composite the questions, I know this personally.

I took the nclex 3 times. The first time I went all the way with 265 question. I tried the PVT and it took my money immediately. The second time the test stopped at 110 and I swore to god I passed. Waited for 48 hours to be horribly hurt, disappointed and defeated. I took the test again today.... Got up to 134 questions and the test shut down. I didn't know what to think. I talked to a few friends that managed to talk me down off the ledge. I went home and took a nap. I got up a little while ago and tried the PVT. I used my debit card that had like $0.79 on it. I got that pop up staying I already have a test scheduled and I couldnt proceed.

For the previous nclex tests I studied so much different content and review classes and discs. This last time I simply just ordered the NCSBN 8 week course for $100. I did all the questions, roughly over 1300 with rationales after each question. I even considered just turning my back and find something else to do.

I want to tell you this " YOU CAN AND WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN. YOU WILL PASS AND YOU WILL GET YOUR LICENSE".

i just thought I would share my experience. I was never fortunate to shut down at 75 like most of these posts I have been reading. But I do think I passed this time around.

never gave up going on my 4th , keep thinking positive

Have you reviewed all the Kaplan videos? I took Feurer's, 's, and Kaplan's and found Kaplan the best.
