What is your school'd policy? In some school, you can go back if you raise your GPA or you can retake the class that you failed twice. Sorry about your situation but if this is really something you want to do you should fight it or start looking at other programs. Start calling them and see if you can transfer.

can always go back and start the LPN route and then bridge to RN

Did the school know about your situation with your mother?

First I would speak to the dean about the circumstances of your semester and appeal the decision to drop you from the program.
Also, apply to other programs. My sister (been an RN for 25 years) failed pharmacology twice at one school and transferred to another and finished there. Even though that was a while back, I'm sure there is something you can do. Keep fighting.. things have a way of working out.

My heart goes out to you! I was in that same position last year. I did not have a family situation, but had failed and was dropped from the program. I agree with the other posts, appeal the decision, talk to the Dean do everything you can to get back in. I did and although my appeal was denied, in talking to the Dean it became clear that I needed an educational evaluation! I had the evaluation, was diagnosed with ADD. After beginning treatment, i was readmitted and graduated in May!
If the above fails, go the LPN route, don't give up.. there is a path for you. Best of luck.

It happens to the best of us...My friend failed out of three nursing colleges and now she is a nurse practitioner. You can do it...You just need to take a break and start hunting for nursing college again. Did you do all your prerequisites at that college? If not, go to another college...Do not ask, do not tell.....lol

Don't give up, I failed twice. Very sad but I know that doesn't make me dumb. If you really want to be a nurse you do whatever it takes. I'm not giving up & you shouldn't either. I was going through a hard time with my grandma's dementia it hurt me a lot emotionally & effected my school work. Prioritize school & you can do it, we all believe in you

See if there is anyway that your drop can be appealed if not, I would apply to other schools or even apply to a college undeclared. Get all your prereqs out of the way and then continue. If not just apply to other nursing programs and see if you get in.
good luck!

Don't give up. Just take a look at other colleges and program requirements and apply, but make sure you explain your situation in details.
