June 25th

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Wondering who is going to test on Tuesday, June 25th? My test is @ 2:00pm. I am currently an LPN so I'm sitting for my RN. I am using ATI and Saunder 5th edition comprehensive review and I'm feeling VERY overwhelmed!

Lets start a 'support' group and provide tips and reassurances up until testing day!

Took my NCLEX RN yesterday and failed. STUDY PRIORITY. Most of my exam was priority and infection control. NO math at all. I went in pretty confident. I did LaCharity, ATI and Helen Feuer & the study guide floating around allnurses. ATI was a requirement for school. Helen Feuer is good for content, nothing else. I did not find it worth the money I paid. Looking into Hurst and Kaplan now. Some of the questions I got, I had to sit back in my chair and think "what the heck is this?". I did fairly well in Nursing School, finished with a 3.7 and in my ATI exit got an 88% with a "definite pass on the first try".... Well, ATI was wrong. LOL!... All in all, this is just a small set back. I'm a bit disappointed (who wouldn't be?) but not stupid and DEFINITELY not a failure. I refuse to give up and this just makes me want it more. :bookworm: Taking like 2 days to myself and first thing Monday morning, I'm back at it. GOOD LUCK to everyone who takes it :)

Wow, I'm sorry! Thanks for sharing. I, too, have ATI (school requirement). That's what I solely used for my LPN but this time around for my RN, I branched out to use Saunders 5th Comprehensive review. I really like the content but not a huge fan of their CD with questions. I just stumbled upon the website NCLEX 3500 with FREE qeustions with rationale. l like this webisite and find it helpful.

Thank you for giving us your insight and I like your attitude and I KNOW you will pass next time!

Honestly I can't give you a number but as many as possible. One day is more than another day but if I had t quess, I'd say I averaged 50 questions a day...next week will be a different story tho :bookworm: as I'm going to be studying BIG TIME!!

How about you? Have you seen the NCLEX 3500 website?

So how many questions per day is everyone doing?

Hi everyone,

I got crazy and moved my exam date up from the 25th to tomorrow at 1:15. I just got to the point where I feel like My brain is full of facts and just can't take anymore. I finished Kaplan QT 6 at 70% and QT 7 at 66.66%. So I feel ready to go to forward and "get er done"! Please send good vibes my was tomorrow at 1:15. I will be testing in California. That for all of your support.

Nice! Good luck! You got this!

Specializes in NICU, neonates, newborns.

i'm taking nclex june 25th too! my test is at 8am, I wish it wasn't so early because I promised myself I would stop at a bar on my way home and treat myself with a big delicious margarita afterwards.. however I think it may be too early for that lol and unfortunately 8am is the only time offered unless I wait another week.

I am also an LPN so i'm so scared to fail because I will be MORTIFIED to have to go to work and tell my coworkers I failed. I have to say that I did not feel nervous at all until I scheduled the test this morning when I got my ATT. now i'm nervous!

I'm studying the same way I studied for my LPN boards: Saunders NCLEX book and CD with practice questions everyday! I swear by it.. I did a practice test once a day before my LPN boards, passed first try with the minimum amt of questions. Good luck to everybody!!

:)

I would definitely go get your margarita -- who cares what time it is ;)

I am also feeling the same way as you and will be humilated if I don't pass. Also, I don't know if I'm over doing it but seem to be tanking @ my questions... arg, I was never this stressed with my LPN and passed my first try with 86 questions ::sigh::
