  1. Kell Bell.... No problem, I really despised ATI. The rationales were terrible, it was just a mess. We always had problems. I've done NCSBN as well (3 week). With NCSBN it's A LOT & I mean A LOT of reading content. It's VERY time consuming. Personally, I don't think they give enough time for all of it. Information overload, but it's good info. However, the questions and rationales are great. I got frustrated with all the reading & just did the questions. It's worth the $50. Hurst for content & NCSBN for questions. Message me Kell Bell. I can send you some personal things I have saved.
  2. LOVE Hurst! Can't recommend it enough! Content is put in such a simple way. Did Hurst from start to finish & loved it. It made everything "click". Worth every penny.
  3. My school also used ATI for NCLEX RN and we all hated it (no joke). I got the green light with a 98% chance of passing & failed. Same thing with a handful of people I know. Second time I went to the Hurst live review (PHENOMENAL), did EVERYTHING from them, did PDA & the Lippincott Alternate Format book newest edition (AWESOME for those who need help with SATA, drag & drop)... & passed. I didn't stress myself out the second time. I studied, had a part-time job in the ICU and took time for me. It's a matter of dedication. You might also want to read the NCLEX RN candidate booklet from the NCSBN to get a better understanding. It really helped me. Everyone has their own way of learning. I'm better with visual aids. I made colored flashcards, wrote down imp. things & wallpapered my room (LOL) with mnemonics for infection control, priority...etc. Find what suits you best & work at your own pace. Best of luck!
  4. State of Florida STILL allows 3 attempts before remediation for RN... Just FYI
  5. I'm going on my 3rd try in FL. Going to take your advice because I'm lost as what else to do & this is my last chance. Out of curiousity, which state did you apply to just in case I have to take that route?
  6. It could mean pass or fail. I had the same popup for *9 days* (yes, 9 stressful days of waiting), only to find out I failed. It could go either way.
  7. CONGRATS! I'm going on my third try and in FL, my last chance. What NCSBN thing are you talking about? I took the 3 week course & didn't see anything that's 63 pages?
  8. I took it. Wasn't easy. There are 3 different forms that I know of though. If you took the ones for each class, they come out again on the exit. I took the 2010 version so I'm not sure if it's changed since then.
  9. WOW! That's A LOT of money. More than my entire AS program ($5000 for my AS). Jeez!
  10. I failed as well my first time. Took it like 2 weeks ago. I'm using Kaplan & Hurst the second time around. First time, I used Feuer for content, ATI, PDA & Saunders. I know PLENTY of people who failed. My DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS at the hospital I work for, failed hers twice & now she's at the top looking down. DON'T lose hope. You need to stay positive in order to tackle this exam. Best of luck to you! We can do this!
  11. Of all the posts on these boards, this was is definitely the BEST. You will DEFINITELY be a great nursing educator in the future. Maybe teach NCLEX review courses... LOL!
