What are other people feeling about the exam today? I don't have a great feeling at all!

Hi backwoods,

Congradulations on passing :)

As you can see, I hijacked your thread to help out a friend with figuring out how the score was calculated. Any help would be very much appreciated, so i would like to ask the following of you or any other individual who received the exam results:

Could you please review your score breakdown and see if the sum of scaled scores in the first four areas divided by four is equal to the recorded final scaled score?

Thanks in advance!

Passed!

If you pass, there is no breakdown given.

PASSED!!!!! In Burlington, Ontario! :D

Hi Everyone

Congrats to everyone who passed....I got my letter today and I passed!!! Thank God!!!! Im in brampton...good luck to everyone still waiting! !!

Hi,

Markham: I got my results today (July 11) and I passed. The date on the letter is July 9th and the Canada Post stamped it on July 9th as well. I touched the small white envelope and it felt thin, so I thought I more likely had passed because I have read from other topics on this website that it is usually around 1-2 pieces of paper for a pass and more papers if not (from what I remember).

To be honest, when I had finished the exam, I did not even know what to think. I felt more unhappy and uncertain about myself. There was no time to think during the exam, it was just keep writing for me. I finished the exam with no time to spare. While waiting for my results, I felt 50/50 on if I had passed or not, sometimes I felt more like I had passed and other times I felt that maybe I did not.

Congratulations to those who passed! Good luck to those still waiting for their results, and to those that are going to give the exam another try, study your best with the time you have and good luck!

good afternoon all, first time here...just trying to help out a friend to figure out a math behind the score she received today. The numbers don't make sense to me on her document...even the sample that I goodled shows a score of 542 while it should be 546 even 547 (or i think this what it should be in that sample). Here is how i came to this conclussion: (618+459+573+520+573+643+438)/7=546.92...am i missing something?...does anyone know what formula is used to calculate the final scaled score... by the way, when i used the above calculation with her real numbers, the result was considerably higher than the one noted as a final scaled score. BTW, here is a link to the sample candidate profile page i am referring to http://cna-aiic.ca/~/media/cna/page-content/pdf-en/crne_candidate_performance_profile_e.pdf

Thanks for any help in advance

This was my second time writing the CRNE, and thank goodness it is over and I passed! In my first attempt, I was well prepared, studied all the contents and did many practice questions. But when the time came to write the exam, I read the questions way too thoroughly, and for that, I paid the price of not completing the exam on time. I was not surprised to find out that I failed the exam.

The college provided me with the "unsuccessful" letter which included the breakdown of my scores (competencies and taxonomy levels). From my understanding, the score are scaled based on the level of difficulty of these questions. The critical thinking questions will receive a higher scale/score than knowledge questions. I hope this is some what clear cause this is the information I received from the college. All in all, the individual must receive a passing score of at least 550 (scale of 200 out of 800). These information is also available on the CNA's website.

For those who passed, a BIG congratulations to you all! And for those who were unsuccessful, please do not give up. I have walked that road before, and all I can do was mourn, re-evaluate where I went wrong (which was obviously time management) and then feel the determination to pass the second time around.

Mail came, and still no results here in Alberta :( Anyone else have good news from Alberta today? Boo to unknown wait over the weekend!

Got mail but no results in Mississauga and Oakville :(

An update for here in Alberta....I just got off the phone with CARNA and apparently they are still working on them, and not sure if they will be mailed today or Monday????? There seems to be a lack ofinformation sharing and mis leading information given by CARNA at this time. As a friend of mine spoke with the exam coordinator from CARNA on Monday (N.K) and was told the results would be mailed out by Thursday this week???? So for Alberta, I guess we still play their waiting game as per CARNA's Information.

I was told the same thing as your friend who called, I also spoke with the exam coordinator on Monday. There are people getting results, it just sounds like it's a slow process over there. I wish I could just go pick it up, I live right down the road!

Have you heard of anyone other than those 2 that got results earlier this week that you knew about? She told me no one will have them because their still working on them? I asked to speak with N.K myself and registration lady was so rude, and said not sure what shes going to tell you differently. I ended up getting her voicemail, and hung up. I figured it was better in my frame of mind right now than leaving message. i just find it unprofessional with the misleading information they give.

I just got my envelope and I passed ... Congrats to all
